Woah! I would use it but I prefer Promethean Vision plus my shields can’t recharge when I’m using Hardlight Shield. But that was just… wow!

I only use it for big team!
Put it this way, if someone is dmr’ing you from far away, what can they do if you put a hardlight shield up and walk backwards to cover, nothing! they can’t grenade you or beat you down.
Also, comes in useful when someone has a banshee, -Yoink- banshees.

Haha, awesome. People need to learn to use the HL Shield like this. When I am eating someone with my AR and they put up their HL Shield, I have to laugh as I walk up to them, side step, and beat them down.
I just wish it could stop vehicle splatters, because that would be freaking epic.

Turning into armor lock would be evil.
It should have no effect of splatters at all.

I will not tolerate another Halo with Armor Lock.
Maybe when the vehicle hits your shield, it simply pushes you along. Kind of like if someone was walking into you. That way we’d stop vehicle splatters without destroying said vehicle.

Except that it is in only 1 direction…the reason armor lock was op was because it made you completely invulnerable and you got out of it too quickly, this is only in 1 direction, splatters should be blockable for 2 reasons, 1, there should be some sort of thought put into driving, just trying to ram people with a warthog with no one else in it because armor lock no longer exists makes no sense at all, if the hardlight shield turning rate was slightly slower you could get around it and kill the person, or just wait them out, if you ram people all the time and get a sour taste in your mouth because you got blown up, deal with it, wait a minute for the vehicle to respawn and continue your rampage, they will probably not be so lucky a second time. And the second reason is it is fun to shut down people with you who probably run around with ghosts all of the time and get but hurt when they arent impervious anymore. 
And this is why I use hardlight shield.
Because it is awesome.
I used the shield for the first 2 weeks exclusively and did really well with it.
It does have some downsides which should be noted:
A) The instant you press it, it drains 25% of the max usage. Meaning I could spam it 4 times and be completely empty in about a second.
B) It has this illogical drawback where one you drop it, you become somewhat stunned and sluggish, leaving you completely unable to dodge a sticky nade or a headshot.
C) While yes in custom games it’ll stop ANYTHING other than a splatter, in matchmaking with latency issues it is less impressive. I’ve been meleed from the FRONT while my shield was up and killed, I’ve been killed by other weapons when my shield was well raised, and the biggest load of garbage there is…seeing the shield raise on my dead body, activating a second too late and failing to save me.
D) In order for it to be effective, you’ll want a teammate to help you out when you raise it, unfortunantly the game has become dominated by selfish children who will stand 5 feet away from you and refuse to help because they don’t want the assist, they want the kill, and helping you while you’re alive is too risky.
It is one of the better AAs to be sure, but as long as we have the God Ability, Camoflauge, you give up too much to use it.
We need to figure out ASAP if the Hardlight Shield reflect the Gauss Hog shot.
I saw a player reflect a close range Scorpion shot and it killed the scorpion. We need to test the limits.
Cool. Noe if you can get a video of a tank shell/binary rifle shot being deflected into an enemy player, then I would be really impressed.
Although I’m not sure how that would work, what with the [sarcasm]amazing[/sarcasm] idea to have no friendly fire.
Me and my friend set up a test to see how many thing the hardlight shield can deflect and it deflected everything!
A friend of mine killed a Scorpion on Exile with his Hard Light Shield…
It was amazing and we didn’t stop laughing for at least 15 minutes afterwards.

Exactly, it’s like giving the camping DMR user the finger, they can’t do anything. It’s also great for Spartan Ops while versing Hunters, as you can deflect their fuel rod blasts right back at them.
