Hardest Incarnation of the Flood?

In your opinion, which game had the toughest appearance of the Flood? I think Combat Evolved, myself.

CE. Relentlessness and nonstop

thats hard because CE and 2 they are sort of the same but halo 3 u had the pure forms which made the cortana level on legandary almost impossable but in halo 2 they drive tanks and stuff

That is true. I forgot they were able to operate vehicles. That does make it a bit harder to decide

The Flood in CE could suddenly just get up and slap you. In later Halos, they need an infection form to revive them. Halo CE is the hardest. It also takes more melee attacks to kill them in CE.

If I remember correctly, melee attacks do nothing to the flood in CE

I think you’re right, or it just took a crap ton of melee hits to do so. I for sure remember shooting their arms off and they’d just stand in front of you doing nothing, it’s like doing michonne from TWD where she’d just cut off all their ways to attack and have them as pets.

2, I honestly found CE’s easy as fish in a barrel.

I would say 2. The flood’s IA is pretty basic in those games, but they can endure a ton of damage if you don’t know what to do. Once you know how to handle every form they become really easy to put down in CE, not so much in 2. Though I have to say, this wouldn’t even be a discussion if the Flood Juggernaut had appeared in Halo 2.

Flood in Halo CE was relentless. Plus, they had a tendency to get up from the dead.

Well it does damage them a little. Did you know that I sometimes go on easy difficulty on the library just to melee the flood to death?

You’re right. It was effective until you reached an area where the flood has Rockets then it became a mess lol
