Literally every Onyx or Champion rank I’ve seen thus far has either been in Swat (which takes nowhere near as much skill as regular slayer), and FFA (which is pretty funky at the moment). So what’s the hardest game-type to rank up in? The highest I’ve seen for Slayer was Diamond, so I’m wondering if anyone’s an Onyx or something in that.
Yes, a lot of people are in onyx and the top 200 are champions. You aren’t matched against these players due to the fact that you are platinum. I have a few buddies who are Onyx across the board.

FFA hands out easy Onyx rankings since you pretty much gain CSR for being in 4th place and up. SWAT, I can not tell you why but that naturally ranks players with a higher CSR.

I wasn’t asking to be matched with them; the last thing I want is to go up against some of the best Halo players. I was referring to the ranks I see here on Waypoint.
