Hardcore Assault?

Hey guys. I just had a thought…

Grifball is a pretty intense game, right? Also, people want Assault in Halo 4, right? Well, if there’s no way to program Assault into Halo 4 by now, why don’t we ask for something that could be programmed: HARDCORE Assault!

The rules could easily be edited inside the Grifball custom settings. This is the idea of the game:

You can use your own loadouts and the ball carrier doesn’t change color, but the same principle of Grifball applies. You need to fight to the death over the bomb in the middle of the map, use teamwork to run it to the enemy’s base and then spend 3 seconds arming it. I didn’t see a defuse option in the Grifball settings, so that’s why I’m calling it Hardcore Assault. The idea is not to defuse the bomb once it gets to the base… once it’s planted, it’s planted for good and you need to watch it in shame as it explodes. I think it could make for some really intense firefights. Especially if Instant Respawn were allowed, but I’ll let you decide if that would be good to include in this idea (I personally don’t).

In the end, even though it’s not true Assault, the only real difference is the lack of being able to defuse which, like I said, might make for even MORE fun and intense fights than Assault where you CAN defuse. I think it’d make for a very fun, yet challenging and unforgiving gametype. Let me know what you think in the poll and comments below. :slight_smile:
