Hard to win or ... ?

Since I’ve started playing multiplayer about a week ago , I’ve lost about 70% of my games . Maybe if I just suck and need to train more or if it really is hard to win , but either way , it’s getting pretty frustrating .I haven .The thing is , I dont know what I do wrong . Here is what I do at the star of every match :

  1. Build 1 generator , then 2 supply pads
  2. Send infantry to gather ressources
  3. Use my first leader point , usually to unlock a passive power that boasts incomes or reduces training rate
    4 . Upgrade generator
5 . Build a second base , usually a mini base , but it depends on the map and where my allies have already built
    6 . upgrade supply pads

By that point , it always depends on the circonstance , but I usually either train a small army to weaken / distract the ennemies or wait and upgrade my tech level to build a stronger one .

So , any advices ?

I think you should build a scout rather than the second pad and send it for resources far from your base, also get more infantry to take over the power nodes.

Edit: Also, perhaps would be better wait for the second base until you get Tech 2 (unless you’re playing Atriox)

Most people playing ranked are pretty good, so yes it’s hard to win…

And a very very basic point: Use only Atriox as your leader. All UNSC leaders suck at this season (Cutter is atucally good, but only in the hand of a higher level player). Other Banished leaders are viable too, but they often requre a more focused/clear-minded state to use effectively. But Atriox is your goto catch-all newbie friendly leader hands down.

What leader are you using? Are you on Xbox? if so you can create a 5 minute clip and put here the link to it.

Watch some vids on youtube. The BTC (breaking the clutch) channel is where I learned a lot of the basics

It’s hard to win because the game is absurdly unbalanced at the moment. Some mechanics are so broken it’s absolutely mind boggling they made it through QA testing.

Special mention to units SHOOTING THROUGH WALLS AND BUILDINGS.

I’d say to watch some truthsoseeker or btc videos. Both have high level play that you could take notes on.

if your unsc going extractor first in 1s is suicide the same could be said for team ranked.

in every match as cutter this is my build

start

build marine
supply pad
2nd supply pad
upgrade 1st supply pad
grab a mini before starting your generator
build generator
supply pad
upgrade generator
build supply pad on mini
supply pad

double pump marinea, now i only play team play so this may not apply but in team play its a must

get gernade throw at 400 power
save up 500 supply salvage 1 unupgraded supply pads

go to tech 2 while getting tech 2 upgrade all 4 supply pads

barraks and a air pad

sniper cyclops nightinggil

expands

etcetcetc maybe this will help

Uh here’s what you should do depending on who ya are.

  1. Supply>Gen>Supply (its actually weak as hell to start gen)
  2. Upgrade gen (if tech rushing), upgrade 2 supplies (if just rushing)
  3. Supply (if you are rushing), Gen (if you are tech rushing
  4. Barracks if Cutter, Kisano, Supply if anyone else
  5. Somewhere after 3 pumped out like 2-3 marines and map control
  6. Third power supply goes on a mini base, do not upgrade until tech 3.

Spam units and win.

Yet this wasn’t an issue until recently? At some point our playtime must have by-passed the amount of time they had testing this, not to mention that there are tons of us that play differently.

A bit sad that its the flavor of the day, and that people rely on it because its the winning strategy. Hopefully, this next CU fixes it to the extent we all want it fixed. Then again, who plays to lose?

I play on xbox one and I always pick a different leader . If you still want to send me a link to a video , I’m still interested .

Using the same leader every time sounds boring but I guess that the price to win .

As banished I start with generator… :+1:t2:
