So i still haven’t finished the campaign yet. Normally by this point i may have completed a second run through with a friend. I always play on legendary its not quite LASO hard but it difficult enough that i need to try in order to progress. The campaign has always been a big draw to Halo for me. I dont know what they have done to the AI but its just not fun anymore. It’s difficult to explain as i can’t put my finger on it. The AI has distracted me all the way through the campaign as its been more annoying than challenging.
Also the warden is just boring to fight compared to the Didact especially after the 6th time. I have noticed that when they focus on multiplayer the single player campaign suffers and visa verse. Halo 4 had a great campaign but less interesting multiplayer. Halo 5 it feels like the other way round. Still can’t articulate what they have done to the AI but does anyone else have the same feeling about it?
What’s not fun about fighting a damage sponge that can instantly kill you?
What are you talking about? This campaign surpassed the Cortana rage levels from Halo 3 when on legendary.

this was the easiest campaign of them all on legendary and by a long shot. and how can you talk about it if you only played on normal?
The campaign was easy and there were not many large scale vehicle battles. I felt like when I was on foot I had a lot of options but when I was in a vehicle I was being funneled through a path. So far I have played solo legendary with no skulls but I plan on beating it with 4-player coop soon.
Agreed, this campaign is by far the easiest legendary run of them all. The only challenge comes from the tedious fights with the warden.
I mean, the fight on “the breaking”? Least fun part of any halo game so far.
the primary campaign felt like there was no real threat to it either. Oh? I fell down? Never mind, I’ve got 3 (sometimes suicidal) AIs to come to my rescue. Except for when you’re not on a part of the map they’re programmed to go. Did is anyone else get irritated at taking up a sniping position, getting knocked on my -Yoink- and then have my 3 AI squad mates stand about talking to each other?
Despite my -Yoinking!- I actually enjoyed the campaign but I hope we get less of Locke next time. I honestly found his personality fairly unlikable, which sucks because I quite liked him in Nightfall.
I don’t mind the master chief being less of a character in the game but I wished we’d had more of the classic silent protagonist like in Reach or ODST.
And let’s see if we can get separated from our squad at some point? Maybe make it a challenge?

This, legendary has never been “fun”, it’s annoying and time consuming, that’s about it. Only time legendary has been sort of fun is with 3 friends.

Who actually fights on he Breaking anymore ever since Naked Eli found the boss fight skip?.. man I was pissed that I spent 2 hours trying the fight solo legendary only to discover a day later about that

lol i like that I like that - I am currently in rage mode as we speak
I’m currently running through it sporadically with some friends but don’t see what you mean.
The Legendary campaign has never been “fun” to me, it’s always been about the challenge but everyone has different motivators I guess.
