Hard decision....

Hey guys I am trying to make a hard decision I need help with. I was goig to buy the LE version of halo 4 (with all the dlc and stuff) qnd then the LE console came out and I was thinking that theyd have all the dlc thats in the LE in the LE console, but alas no. So heres the decision, I do need a new xbox because I have the old xbox elite and its had two “quarter red rings” (had to do with the hard drive) and I was going to get the LE console because its The halo 4 design with a huge -Yoink- hard drive (325 gb I think) and 2 controllers, and I’ve always wanted to get an LE console, but not as much DLC included as the normal LE (wich is weird imo). So whats the better buy? I have calculated the amount to get a 4gb slim and get a 250gb hardrive (on amazon just around $225). So should I grab the LE with all the goodies and just get a halo 4 skin later on for the slim or what. Thanks for your opinions! Sorry if anythings misspelled im on my ipod, its a pain to type on.

Unless your gaga for the LE console I’d go for the LE game, a new slim, and one of the UNSC controllers. But that’s coming from someone who’s not a fan of the LE console design

Dont pay more for a console because it looks nice. thats all im gonna say.

PS. a quarter red ring means a general hardware failure (your screwed, or just a one time glitch) thats not neccessarily related to the hard drive.

Ok cool, all I did was pull out my hard drive and hit it on a wall and it worked gain, saw it on YouTube

Another note, something I did, rather than forking over 20 bucks for a transfer cable your only gonna use once, you can break apart your OG hard drive center it carefully and it plugs right into the slim

if you have a working xbox 360 then it would be dumb to buy a new one especially with an entirely new xbox coming out right around the corner.

in my opinion it doesn’t event look that great.

let me rephrase that try and pay the lowest amount of money for a new xbox but don’t buy the console because its not worth $400

With rumors of the next xbox coming out in 2013, I’d save my money for that console and not the LE xbox.

Thats exactly what Im doing, Im actually now going for the Slim (4gb) and grabbing a 320gb hard drive off amazon, a total of $250

Hello ! well I’m in the exact same spot my original 360 is done and i was about to buy a new one I think the black one is perfectly fine but because I’m a great fan of halo my mind tells me buy the console its unique its halo bla bla bla, but my reason tells me think twice.
All the goodies its all about the goodies ! Besides The only game I don’t have in legendary edition is Halo Combat Evolved (because it came with my black xbox) and then I bought the Anniversary.

I think i’ll buy the regular console and the Legendary game.

get the LE game no matter what. UNSC controller would be suggested. the LE console (though I am getting it) isn’t as important/as much content as the LE game does. if you get the UNSC controller and Halo 4 LE, you’re still getting a new Halo controller, plus Halo 4, plus first 3 map packs free, plus extra good looks. with the LE Xbox, unless you either really want it, need it, or both, I think you really shouldn’t get it.

I’m trying to make somewhat of the same decision, I’ll either get the Limited Edition and the Halo 4 Tritton Warhead or the LE Console and a Tritton Trigger.

If you look at the Console, you get a huge 320GB Hard Drive, a Special Edition Halo 4 Designed Console with exclusive sounds, and a blue ring of light rather than a green one. 2 Limited Edition Controllers with blue LED’s. And of course a copy of Halo 4 Standard Edition along with a exclusive armor skin, weapon skin and emblem (either the same as the LE or exclusive to the Console). In my mind that’s a really good deal.

Or you could get the Limited Edition.

If you’re big in DLC and extras, you could get the LE. But, in your case you got the RROD on your old 360. I suggest getting the Halo 4 Console.
If you combine the 2 Controllers, the 320GB Xbox,Halo4 and the DLC. $119.99+$329.99+$59.99+$9.99=$599.96(My rough estimation in Canadian Currency).

I’d say get the LE, but then again I don’t know how much money you have to spare. Just make sure you have over 8GB because that’s how much memory you are going to need just for the multiplayer portion.

If your Xbox works get the LE game, if not get a new Xbox.

It seems smart to wait for the new console, however with all new consoles bugs are inevitable, I’m buying the halo 4 slim and not buying the new gen console until either halo 5 or untill I know that the new gen console is mostly bug free.

I’m guessing the next Xbox will be released around Holiday 2013, 0r 2014. And there wouldn’t be much to getting a new console next year, because there won’t many games until mid-late 2014 or 2015.

It’s up to you OP. My opinion is to get the console if your in need of memory and want a Halo console, not many can say they own one like myself, otherwise, the LE will serve nicely.

Well the console bundle is a total of $400. The game and the two controllers that come with it is $60 each, the wired headset is $20 ($5 on Amazon), the hard drive is $120 (or a surprising $50 on Amazon). Add that up, and you’re spending only $80 (or $165 if you get everything for cheap on Amazon) for the console in total. Plus the other goodies that weren’t told, which were said to be “Avatar and in-game content”. All in all, I’d say it’d be a good deal if you’re in desperate need of an Xbox, but if you don’t need the extra stuff, then it’s pretty worthless.

XBOX IS FRIED.

Am getting the LE Console, LE H4, selling 1 controller & standard H4 to friend.for $100.
