i suspect…maybe the issue come from a notification from windows.
i remember my game crashing and at the same time i received an email and been notify.
it’s the only time i remember see that the same time.

It could be a memory related issue with the game. Either with RAM or GPU RAM.

for 343 defense, im running ddr
3 1600mhz but a gtx 1070ti
hard crash are realy rare on my rig and mostly due to game software problem ( they are fixed over time with patch).

it happen since the game release.

i running msi afterburner bur it’s overclock in automatic mode.
i can try to take it of and if you don’t hear feedback, it mean it is solved.

I first started encountering the same kind of crashing after the most recent update. My solo rank took a huge dive and getting banned for “quitting early”.

Uninstalled this POS last after submitting a ticket and getting a blanket response of “we don’t have a solution but hope to in the next update”.

I went back to Cold War. Get waaaaaaaaay more enjoyment out of that.

it happen again. during the the transfer from game menu to the match itself. exact same behavior. video and audio stutter together.
msi afterburner: on
setting
core clock : default (+0)
memory clock: default (+0)
only my fan speed is at 90 during gaming.
i adjusted the fan curve to be at 90% pass 40 celsius.
i will to reinstall but i don’t think it will change something.

Steam or game pass version? I had the same exact problem with game pass version, so I installed the Steam version and it’s been playable.

Do you have an overlay to monitor your GPU speed/temp? Use a benchmark like Heaven that loops and monitor your temp so you can adjust your fan curve on the fly. I think 90% may be a little too high, got to keep in mind that the fan/fans will rob power from the GPU. I’d aim for keeping the GPU in the low 70°’s using Heaven. My card will run around 72° in Heaven but most games it’s running in the mid to high 60°.

I technically use a fan “ladder” for my fan curve. 3080 Strix with three fans, stays at 30% up to 45°, then from 45° to 70° jumps to 60%. From 70° to 90° it’ll “curve” to 90%. So during gaming, the fans are always pulling the same power no matter what. This keeps more headroom for higher boost clocks.

Turn off your Steam Overlay and unload the extra downloads from Steam for Halo Infinite. That typically is what causes and then helps to prevent future crashes form occuring.

Yeah me too

This is the game

Apparently the game finished. I would have finished 2 challenges if these counted

It was a BR game which I need and now I got a mangler game… ffs

i not sure to know what you mean by unload the extra download.

He’s talking about the HD textures pack. I tested both with the pack and without the pack, doesn’t make a difference for me.

my fan curve is for 2 setting
below 40 is for general use like
and generally if you are over 40, you are gaming. and it set at 90% to 100% at 80 degree

i agree when you said it draw more power from the gpu, but im on the fence saying it throttle down my performance.

i welcome every link to prove me wrong.

i reinstalled steam halo infinite so i need to try it.
my next step is to play on xbox halo infinite. MAYBE it will fix it.

but the overlay is a know problem on pc on multiple game. i will try but after a good 10 hour (fresh install + overlay).
thats the drawback of playing on pc hey.

With your fans set to 90% when it hits 40°c, what is the temp your card is holding while gaming under load?
