Where do we go talk to talk about Halo 4 if we actually like it? It seems every good forum where we actually talk about our favourite things in Halo 4, custom game ideas, what’s going to happen next in the Halo universe, always get pushed into the abyss of threads. They seem to be getting shoved out of the picture by all the almost completely useless threads filled with useless arguments. Perhaps 343 should make two Halo 4 forums just so that we can actually make progress as a community.
Edit: People who actually enjoy Halo 4 can talk with other fans here. Let’s keep this thread alive.
My complaints were minor and not worth mentioning again. It is truly beautiful to look at and I am adapting as best I can. Had some really fun games last night and learned a few things. I don’t ever play Campaign so I am starting from scratch in multiplayer. Unconventional yes, but fun nonetheless.
Why don’t we just make this thread a positive one?

Sure, sounds good. Let’s get some discussion going. What’s your favourite loadout that you’ve made? Mine is Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle, Plamsa Grenade, Hologram or Cloak, Firepower, Sensor.
No you should talk about it hear to see how many other feel as you do. If you have something to say don’t hold back, ever. If people don’t agree that is fine. I do like the game but I see way to many problems with it, if have reasons why you feel it is great let them be herd

It’s simple as to why it’s happening. But to answer your question, I am unsure. The best discussions usually come from having opposing views than having similar ones. A positive thread just yields a bunch of people nodding in agreement. But an angry thread sparks discussion and too often times argument. then you get the defenders AND the haters to come out. which is why you see the ridiculous threads bumping up and the nice ones disappearing.
It’s mostly because people cannot be critical without being ridiculous of rude, or extreme. For example, I personally find the BR overpowered and it often dominates in many map types. Instead of a reply being informed and understood as an educated OPINION, I will quickly be labeled as an idiot and have “facts” with no discernible relevance thrown in my face. Thus sparking replies, and arguments.
Well, I am sure you know all this already so pardon my ranting, I also feel the same way you do. Why are all game forums so negative? Sometimes I can’t help but wonder how the mods deal with so much negativity. Especially since most of the mods seem to play the game and enjoy it.
Edit:
for those wanting to hear positive things.
I enjoy the different playstyles I can come up with by combining loadouts for different situations. I enjoy being able to join my friends in a match instead of always waiting for them to finish. And I also enjoy the weekly updates and the possibility of more and more updates tweeks and balances.
I also enjoy the new updated graphics and the feeling of superior tactics against an always adapting enemy, and being able to get right back into the action especially in the frustration that you’re the only person on your team capable of playing well (lol)
I find that the neither the DMR or BR are overpowered. They just have different strengths. To me the BR just feels more powerful, plus it has more aim assist but then the DMR is more precise with a longer range.

No but quite honestly they should create a separate forum for suggestions because it makes for difficult discussion about the game itself amongst members when all we see is complaints.

Sorry, it’s just that I think that all the main problems with Halo 4 were addressed on the day of release and now the new ones are just taking up space. Yes giving feedback to a developer is not bad but when it’s the thousandth time sending it to them . . . Yah, sorry I should’ve worded that differently.
@AHal Capture the Flag is awesome. It’s nice being able to switch between smaller more infantry based capture the flag maps to some bigger vehicle ones.
It’s still a good game, just kinda busted. Halo 2 was -Yoink- when it launched and people hold it in high regard now, all 343 has to do is patch some crap out.
Halo 4 has great potential at its core, as it is right now its pretty unbalanced. If things were tweaked to where people had to move around the map more instead of just sniping with the DMR, it would be much more fun.

Well there you go. I did not know you could build a loadout. Perhaps that explains why I was in games where the opposing team all had better guns than the AR every time I approached them.
