Today, Halo 3 turns 12 years old. 12! It has arguably gone down as one of the most popular video games in history. Bungie truly created something special.
So crazy it’s been 12 years! Such an amazing game, and what a way to cap off the OT. Hope to eventually get an anniversary edition at some point.
Gaming changed a lot over 12 years
But halo 3 is still awesome and probably will be always
It blows my mind how well Halo 3 holds up to this day. It doesn’t feel like anything is missing and you can feel the love and dedication Bungie put into H3. To quote another well-known hero, Hail to the King, baby! Lots of games have come and gone, but it’s hard to find one that can match the magic of Halo 3.

If Halo: The Master Chief Collection becomes backwards compatible for the next Xbox generation, maybe we shall see something in 2022 for Halo 3’s 15th anniversary.

Much like Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo 64 or Timesplitter’s 2, Halo 3 is one of those games where you can go back to it and relive those gaming moments. I can guarantee that long after the Xbox 360 servers are shut down, people will still play Halo 3 locally with their friends.
I’ll always love Halo 3. It’ll forever be my favorite videogame. Happy birthday to an all time great.
