One of the best games
I remember being a young lad beating the game on easy all in one day. But at the time I thought i was one of the best in the game. I would play the campaign over and over and over again but would always play it on easy because the other difficulties seemed scary. Sadly i never got to experience multiplayer until the Xbox 360 and after beating Halo 3 a few times. But still, for a six year old who has played Halo Combat Evolved many times before Halo 2 (I did not play Halo 2 until two years after it released) I played Halo 2’s campaign on repeat because that was all i knew about games. I would say that Halo 2 is where I first started to explore further than the story being told to me and at the time I did not understand any of the story. The good old days where I did not question what was happening around me and where the Flood were the monsters hiding in the dark.
I’ll start off by saying, yes I’m biased, but Halo 2 is the greatest game of all time, for me. Infinite has potential to replace it, but this isn’t about Infinite. Anyways, Halo 2 was in a time where if someone had Xbox Live, they had Halo 2. You could call anyone up, and they’d be down to play H2. I single handedly got atleast 10-15 people into Halo with H2, and they got live resulting, with a handful of people switching to Xbox from PlayStation permanently. It’s a perfect game, even it’s flaws (super bounce, out of map glitches, butterflying), leads to countless hours of fun. When a game can have you lost in a custom match for hours, just attempting to glitch out, and butterfly on maps, without becoming bored, it’s beyond special lol! Countless memories made on this game with my friends, and I have hope that Halo will one day get back to it’s rightful spot at the top of gamers minds/ playlist…
Happy Birthday to Halo 2, the game I share the greatest memories with & nonstop played since release
I remember when it came out because my father called my uncle to see how his halo was. My father meant how was the halo you got for putting up with the wife for all these years. Needless to say he was confused when my uncle said it was great because he was talking about halo 2 and had no idea what my father was referring to.
