It is really hard for me to believe that Halo 3 is 11 years old today. I remember launch like it was yesterday. Those were the good ol days. If anyone wants to share memories of Halo 3’s launch or just memories of Halo 3 in general go ahead!
i remember being 8 playing halo 3 and spending my 1 hour of gaming time per day looking for recon skulls i found on youtube tutorials
my mom got it for me for my birthday on launch day. BUT she made me wait until my actual birthday to have it. my birthday is Oct. 5th. longest wait of my life!

Man I was going CRAZY trying to get Recon back in the day. I was glad they made it possible to earn when ODST came out. I got all the Vidmasters except Endure so I didn’t get Recon until 343i gave it out, but, I ended up getting Endure last October so I still feel like I earned it, even 10 years later LOL.

I can imagine how hard that would be to wait. I ended up not getting it at launch but my buddy let me borrow it the day after release for a day. After that, I was hooked. He would let me borrow it more (especially after Call of Duty 4 came out) and I FINALLY got it for Christmas. It was so hard to wait to get my own copy.

- The game that made me buy an Xbox 360 instead of the overpriced PS3 that pretty much had no games. - The game that made me an achievement hunter. Though i’m not a hardcore achievement hunter anymore I still do them for fun but if its a halo you can bet i’m gonna go for all of them no matter how hard or how long it takes like Halo M.C.C. - The game that I spent countless hours playing during my final year in high school in 2007 and beyond. - The game that me, my younger brother, and my friends had a blast playing split screen unlike a certain halo game on a more advanced console. - The game that I made some good online friends. - The game that made unforgettable memories that probably will never happen again for me. - The game that was a blast for trash talking as an 18 year old. - The game that you hear screaming kids and yes they are still around but those halo 3 kids are now all grown up. - The game that everyone was crying for “Please Bungie I want recon armor”. - The game that spawned many great halo machinimas like Master chief sucks at halo 3, Arby n the chief and the continuing of Red vs Blue just to name a few. - The game that… well I can go on and on but you get the idea feel free to add more to the listHalo 3 is and always will my favorite Xbox 360 game of all time in fact my 2nd favorite Xbox 360 game is Mass Effect 1 and its not even close choosing between Halo 3 or Mass Effect for the #1 spot.

Unfortunately it’s Halo 3’s 11th birthday not 1st. Not many people are online regardless of the day. It’s sad. I was 14 when the game came out and now I don’t have as much free time. I WILL be on later tonight though I have to celebrate.
Also some people are saying Halo 3 is having trouble connecting to the Xbox Live servers lately so that could be an issue.
