We got temple variantes, but they not feel like the Hannibal variants of the UNSC vehicles, they have a completely different kind of munition. The temple variants are actually pretty good, but they are more like a only movement improvement.
So, How do you imagine the Hannibal counterpart of the covenant vehicles?
Well there’s Ultra. Does that count for anything?
Unsc has standard, ONI and Hannibal.
The covenant has the standard, ultra and temple.
Excluding the variants the just have upgraded armour.
The ultra variants are basically the covenant equivalent of the oni/hannibal vehicles

I don’t think these are equal comparisons. The ultra and temple varients are more equivalent to Oni varients. I would argue the ultra and temple versions are the same tier, while there’s no covenant equivalent to the Hannibal level.
I think if 343 wanted equivalents to the Hannibal level for covenant vehicles, they should use the banished vehicles from HW2.

I agree, the Ultra Banshee may be great, but in 1V1 with a Hannibal tank or Mantis, the pilot better be a god with the Banshee.
Needler Ghost anyone? Or Camo instead of Boost? oooooh there is potential there. I think Weapon and Vehicle variants are one of Halo 5’s biggest strengths. I say role with it.
Blamite line for the vehicles:
Ghosts fire rapid-fire needler rounds
Banshees fire the same rounds and the Banshee’s fuel rod bomb is replaced by a White Scar-like shot
Wraiths fire even larger versions of the White Scar, turret fires needle rounds
I think we have got a good coverage of Covenant vehicles which act in a similar way to the Hannibal series.
Where’s my Hannibal mongoose/gungoose?
Should make a banshee that instead of firing plasma rounds it fire plasma caster rounds and the same speed. That way it can be really overpowered and everybody will cry about it

my guess is that sword or temple variations of covenant vehicles are equivalent to ONI variations of UNSC vehichles and ultra variations are the equivalent of hannibal variations

Both temple and ultra variants use plasma ammunition, as someone else said, both are like a counterpart of the ONI variants. The ONI use a upgrade version of the standard armament, whereas the Hannibal variants present a totally different kind of armament.
I don’t see why things need bloated up even further(especially when your reason is ammunition it uses), plus I see the ultras as an equivalent to the Hannibal versions and AoE output is more than enough.
also diss approving nod at whomever said you need To be a god with the ultra banshee vs Hannibal tanks and mantises, same applies to even just the standard versions. You ain’t getting away from a tank period without dodging it’s shots and the mantis can lock onto air vehicles, the damage is different between classes, but you still can’t just screw around vs them.
Uhh, enough “stuff” already… I’m hoping Halo 6 has only a fraction of the vehicles that this game offers!
Unless it’s actually worth getting in one.
Hannibal has no counterpart. It is one of the strongest variants, beating both, Ultra and Temple. If 343 wnted to make an equivalent version, I think the Banished vehicles would be an almost counterpart to the Hannibal, if not better.
Well if you don’t count Ultra as the equivalent, I would say that replacing the boost on some vehicles with a camo would be cool. Maybe even give them more powerful blamite (needler) rounds or even lasers. I like the idea of a Banshee with a laser instead of a FRG
