So anyone know exactly WHEN these maps are going to be “officially” announced? I figured they would show off everything they had for CEA at HaloFest but they didn’t show off these maps. There is no real major gaming event left this year except the VGA’s but that is not til December which is after CEA comes out. So this seems puzzling.
I’m really excited for Hang Em High, sure we got High Noon in Team Classic but nothing beats the real version.
I imagine they’ll release a video or two when they see fit. Given that there are only two months before the game is released, I imagine it will be sometime soon.
I don’t know why they skipped Hang Em High during PAX when they had shown the map back when they were originally announced. Headlong looks pretty awesome and the addition of the Superintendent is pure win.
But when are they going to be “official”? Maybe they will show them on Red Versus Blue? Rooster Teeth said they were doing a mini series for Waypoint which would show off places “you haven’t been before” so I would guess it’s the new maps.
Headlong is most likely a new “Forge City”, and I think 343i maybe wants to conceal that. Hang 'Em High might also be a new Forge World.

There is a 1:06 clip on YouTube of Headlong gameplay. And I ALSO am questioning the presence of Hang Em’ High THE most out of anyone on these forums! I won’t believe it til I see it.

Highly speculative at best, but i think headlong as part of a forge city is a great idea. Very feasible too.
I wonder where that gate at the top of the bridge may go…

At Halofest just after the RvB table read but before questions Burnie says that while looking for Grif their going to be “taking a fun comedic romp through some environments you’ve never seen before… perhaps”
Keep in mind that this maxi-series is slated for Waypoint later this year.
So maybe their doing the Forgeworld thing again. But instead of RvB shenanigans in Forgeworld we get Headlong and Hang’em High.
Anyway just speculating.
