I hope you realise GI broke the stories on Spartan Ops, confirmed weapons, new screenshots, modifications, Spartan Points and tid bits in interviews plus more.
343i and Microsoft are marketing machines, they will be sharing major releases around various websites, magazines and other media. Usually this entails a minor trickle release like what we see now with GI.
I for one have thoroughly enjoyed their concise and accurate account of Halo 4 details.
