Does anyone else want to see this return, or just me lol. I cant remember if Halo 3 had it or not, but im sure it did, i know Reach didnt though and i wish it did.
Im not the best Halo player, but im certainly above average, and out of all my friends (in person, not xbl lol) only one can give me a run for my money. With the rest though they all enjoy playing, to an extent, when were drinkin or whatever, well play some four player splitscreen and it could be great, but i find it hard to “go easy on them”
Thousands of competitive based games ingrain killing your opponents swiftly lol, and i find it hard to avoid these weapons, or not go to the vantage points, and not shoot on sight, or not look at my radar etc.
This is why it was great in halo 2 (and im sure Halo 3), to be able to put a handicap on myself, to the point where id sometimes have no shield and/or bugger all health, and make it a fair game.
It makes it challenging for you, and fair for your friends, who otherwise would be lucky to even get your shields down, let alone get a kill, and everyone has fun =).

I think it’s a great idea. I’ve always wanted to gimp myself to giver other people a fair chance in customs.

Yup it would be for Custom games only, and either in the game options menu for a specific team mayby, or like it was in halo 2, where in the pause menu for a game you could manually adjust it.
There were ways around it in Reach, like creating infection games or juggernaut games where juggernaut would be weak as, and so if i got killed all i would have to do is kill the next juggernaut to be handicapped again, but it was a hassle.

howcome lol? it wouldnt be a competitive feature, just an option for customs to allow your not-so-game savvy mates enjoy playing with you…
Most of my mates i can play 3v1 and damn near perfect them, id love to be able to play 2v2 and have it equally challenging for us all
