Handicap for uneven match

So my girlfriend recently started playing and she is still learning her way around the controls. I have been trying to help her improve (her request) by playing 1v1 with her, but most matches end with her killing me maybe 1-2 times for every 10-15 times I kill her. I am far from the greatest player but I can only limit myself so much to make things fairer in our matches (only using magnum, giving her a chance to see me before firing). I seem to remember Halo 2 having a handicap feature. Can anyone think of a way I could implement handicaps to give her a better chance? Maybe a game type where I could give one team boosts to speed, shields, health, etc. But not for the other? I was thinking something like infection’s difference in settings without the actual infection mechanic.

You can customise the initial spawn to spawn you near a custom power up that will do whatever you need it to. For example, in Halo 2, on the highest handicap, you would die in 1 shot. You could do similar by lowering your health and shields using options in the minigame gametype.

Use customized loadouts, like Blood of Suban (or The Answer if she’s REALLY strugling) as the primary, and a magnum or AR (or a weapon you know you REALLY hate using) as the secondary.
She uses the primary, and you use the secondary. That way you get to really improve aswell, and it becomes more fun for both of you! Personally I’d be hard pressed killing a noob wielding the answer, when I’m armed with a boltshot for instance.

When I was in college “training” my roommate for a Team Doubles Halo 3 tournament years ago, I had him use nothing but the sniper rifle. I told him, “if you can master the sniper rifle, then you can pretty much master any weapon”. We did this for a month or so, with him using nothing but the sniper. I didn’t go all out, of course, but I would keep adding pressure when I see him getting better. I would let him kill me on purpose in the beginning, purposefully getting one shot on him first to get him out of this scope so he can learn how to no-scope in the middle of a fight, through grenades to try and distract him with no intention to kill him, etc. And sure enough, when I let him start using all the weapons, he was a monster with the BR. He said after using the sniper for so long, it almost felt like cheating lol
