I’ve always loved reading the Halo books especially how it details how a spartan took on an elite in hand to hand zero G combat and other combat situations oh the excitement and joy of playing that out in my mind.
I understand assassinations kinda gives some insight but the elites, spartans, and prometheans dont fight back, sadly if they did in game it would have to be in some form of a quick time event to counter their punches and kicks. Which is why I want to see this in cut scenes in a cinematic view.
What I DON’T want to see, are quick time events I want a cut scene of chief taking out someone in hand to hand combat.
We’ve always seen chief with his gun either shooting, aiming, or dramatically running or dodging, never actually in an intence scene were his skills are being put to the test with someone as strong as he is and he still comes out on top.
If this new ONI spartan is hunting cheif I would love to see a cut scene of chief going hand to hand with this mystery spartan and coming out on top to prove he is the best maybe after his boss battle?
Possibly even chief fighting the didact as long as the didact doesn’t hold chief with his magnetic force attracter I guess you could call it that.

I’ve just started reading the books and I’m currently on First Strike, and it’s pretty -Yoinking!- crazy how Chief can just whoop some -Yoink- while battle-fatiuged and injured.
Scenes from The Winter Soldier come to mind 
A cutscene would be really cool, I’d love to see that!
Well we had that quick time event in Halo 4 where Chief drops the elite down the elevator.
But I agree, we need to have a hand to hand combat scene in a Cutscenes. Not like Halo Wars “Monsters” cutscene, I roll my eyes at that every time. Spartans are strong and fast, but they haven’t got the powers of superman. Haha.
QTEs are bad, cut scenes should be things you watch without having to press a button unless you would want to skip it

While I agree, that entire cut-scene is bad. From Ripa being overly sluggish for no reason (in the same game Ripa shows he can move quick with an uppercut to Forge and he stabs the engine for no reason) to the Sangheili honor guard being more in-ept then minors.

Thorne had a realistic fight with a Sangheili. Also Gek was not stupid.

I was talking more about the FF7: Advent Children type of fighting from the Spartans. RvB did some of that too and it was awesome.
