Ok, I find it hard to comprehend why it took me so long to think about this but at the end of Halo: Reach, the final ‘monologue’ is read by what sounds to be Halsey. She says something along the lines of; “Your victory was so close. I only wish you could have lived to see it”. This, in turn, implies that Halsey is still alive and therefore must have, as per usual, gone against Noble team’s orders and instead of heading to castle base, escaped the planet before Reach was glassed. This may also imply that Noble 3 (Jun) is still alive too.
What do you guys think about possibilities of Halsey returning later in the series?
Also, could someone please try and find a flaw in my theory because it seems far too simple. xD

Last time I remembered in Glasslands, she was stuck with some Spartans in a shield world, I can’t remember which one though.

she was on Onyx, which ONI designated Trevelyan at Halseys request (as it was John’s orignal surname). She was then arrested and take aboard the ONI ship that Parangoski arrived on, but I don’t think it was mentioned which ship (the phrase “the mountain is coming to Mohammed” was used in the book)… so it could be Infinity, although I doubt it.
ONI picked her up at the same time they dropped off the Sanghelli who attacked Vas at the weapons drop (his name evades me).

She was stuck on a shield world, named Trevelyan, but was rescued by Osman and them.

Actually it was Kurt, and it was for the sacrifice he made.
She is alive because after the events on Halo, she saved Linda (a Spartan) from death. Linda had been in Cryo in space and was saved by Halsey after they all returned to Earth.

Officially she IS dead. But you know how ONI is, she’s still useful to a point, so her “death” as it were is continuing her work without any recognition for it. It’s bittersweet but she deserved it to be honest
Halsey went to castle, Jun died protecting her. Then, John returned to Reach in a Covenant ship and rescued her and his other Spartans. Halsey kidnapped Kelly and went to Onyx. On Onyx, she and several Spartan IIs and IIIs were stranded in a Sheild World. In Glasslands, thry are found, Halsey arrested. I believe Halsey is being held on a station around some Installation, Installation 03 I think. She is officially dead to the public, but really isn’t “dead”.

Actually it was Kurt’s. He died to ensure they made it into the shield world.

Yes she’s alive. She left AFTER it was glassed by hiding I believe, in Castle Base.
The books tell the story, I’d recommend them, they’re Great reads.

There is none. There’s no proof he’s alive, either. Honestly, either possibility could be true, but considering he didn’t play a role is First Strike, (for obvious reasons) and hasn’t been mentioned in any other media since Reach, most people assume he is dead.
Who knows, though? He could very well have survived Reach by living in the wilderness, evading the Covenant and surviving on a diet of space squirrels and pine cones until being rescued by the UNSC three years later and taken back to his home in Florida, where he now lives with his wife and eight children.
