i was just thinking, could halsey after going in tha big beamy thing bring back cortana? its nearly the end of the season and it would be a great way to end it i think!!
what are your thoughts, im not sure how shed bring her back but maybe shes trapped in there?!

erm not entirely sure, good point bringing that up, she might have been told after finding out chiefs still alive, never know but even so she might stumble upon her by accident, and then crimson or majestic have to go and evac them out and we have to fight the didacts hand, tha would be going out with a bang!!
She didn’t know that MC was back, she has no idea about Cortana. She might now that she has the info on her data pad, but I doubt she had time to go over the information during the attack.
Seeing as they were thinking of charging for the second season of Sops, they would only hint at Cortana in order to drive sales for the DLC next season, and even then it would be too soon before H5. I would not expect to hear any hint about that ( if she does come back , which I hope she doesn’t ) until the last half of SOps season 2. If they still plan to do that, if not, I think they are going to rush the story to connect all the dots, which would be bad.

Cortana’s resurrection would be way to soon. Leave her out the damn picture for a while before bring her back (if 343 want her back). I personally would be fine without Cortana, maybe even better. I’m interested in seeing the story progress without her absolutely having to be in the picture (it can be done).

Yes it is. If she was brought back there would be no way for the Chief to evolve as a character.
Cortana disappeared into the Didact’s Digital well. She may not be entirely dead, but she’s certainly very, very lost.
To bring her back a few months after killing her would be the most horrendous writing ever.
Besides, The Didact’s Digital Well isn’t the same as The Librarians thing.

this is a reply to all but mainly yours, the problem is we dont know what that beam is except they said its a forerunner, we can piece together cortana is lost, whether halsey knows or not we dont know but she could accidently find her locked away in there, yes it is very soon but it adds ALOT more to the spartan ops last couple of episodes to the season but i do see where all of you are comming from but i would like her to return it would make chief realise just how much she means to him and it means he wouldnt want to loose her again!!
but yeah i guess anything possible tbh this beam could reveal a new enemy for the next game but if it doesnt reveal anyhing for the next game ill be amazed tbh

i for one agree that Cortana should stay “Dead”
but just because she CAN come back, that does not mean that she’ll have anything directly to do with Chief in the future
for example, the UNSC could confiscate Cortana and break her down, for security reasons, because of all the data that Cortana stored, and because of the dangers of rampancy
Halsey is going to talk to the Librarian AI just like Master Chief did in the Campaign.
Cortana has nothing to do with it. In fact, Cortana better not return in Spartan Ops. Would ruin the whole point and feels the Campaign made.

She will always overshadow the Chief in emotion, which is the problem. 343 is looking to expand on the Chief ( so they say ) explore his humanity. If they brought her back it would not be as effective. She has always been the emotion in the games, if she was confiscated like you say, it would drive the story to her emotion and take away from the Chief developing. Besides Halo 3 was the search for Cortana, having to go back and look for her again would be a stale plot.
