HALOWARS 2 in Japan was only a subtitle version.

I am enjoying HALOWARS 2.
I live in Japan. I use Google’s translation for writing.

That is sad. The localization team must have gotten lazy

Really. That is stale… Japanese is a hard market, maybe 343i didnt feel it would get enough market for anyone to notice. This is something that they can add with a patch, Ive seen Bungie add new languages to Halo 3 back during H3 era. Maybe their adding late. Who knows. Glad to hear your still enjoying the game.

Anything Xbox doesn’t get purchased in Japan, they stopped selling Xbox’s in Japan, so, it’s fair to not waste money by hiring an entire team to revoice the game.

Previously, there is a voice actor change of Master Chief
There were fans protesting there.
Improvement was not …

Since then HALO fans have decreased.

MS in Japan was arrogant.

From what I understand, the Xbox brand (and thus Halo) are extremely unpopular in Japan, to the point where it could be considered to be a colossal failure. It doesn’t surprise me that Microsoft wouldn’t want to invest too much money into a full translation that probably wouldn’t even get paid back.

It sucks, for sure, but it makes sense from a business point of view.

Well …
It is a market where business is difficult.

Yeah, though both Sony and Nintendo have had exponentially better success in the region, a part of that possibly being that they are both Japanese companies. Furthermore, the Xbox has few games that may cater to the average Japanese consumer compared to its rivals, despite the efforts to do so. So yeah, I imagine that you won’t be getting many high quality translations for Halo games in the near future.

I understand how unfortunate it must be to be in your position, but that’s how it is… It’s better than nothing, right?

「ギアーズオブウォー」に至っては発売中止でしたからね・・・
HALOシリーズは恵まれている…

I know xbox’s arnt that popular in Japan so maybe they didnt see it as worth the time and money to get a Japanese localisation.
