Not really. Everyone came up with generalisations of the UNSC’s overall military capabilities. That being said, Halo is no where near as diverse as Star Wars or Star Treck. It will be hard to make a fair judgement when the story is unfinished.
A good example: Many people accused the UNSC of not having any planet destruction capabilities when on Page 244-245 Halo: Ghosts of Onyx.
They state they have the NOVA warhead
“We’d been working on a new bomb, called the NOVA. It was a
cluster of nukes, each with a lithium triteride casing. Now, these
things, in theory, when they detonate, not only make a big bang
like you expect a nuke to–but they also force their tritium cases
together in one big superheated and pressurized center.” He
made a fist and slammed it into his other plam for emphasis.
“Boosts the yield a hundredfold.” A grin spread across his face.
“Planet killers. We had planned to use these things in space bat-
tles to level the playing field.”
I’ll admit, as much as i LOVE Star Wars, that forum was filled with SW bias. And it was hard to barrack for Halo because it really doesn’t give you a ‘full’ run down on everything the universe has to offer. Mainly because its still changing.

Maybe it’s because I’m a Star Wars fan, and an even bigger Halo fan, but Halo would destroy Star Trek 
Star Trek has way too many overpowered elements in its midst. Not just the Federation or the Klingons or whatever, and not even the Borg, and not even 8472… I mean Q. When you have actual god-like entities in a fictional universe then these discussions are pointless.
Halo rings activate. Q stops them and turns each one into a 10,000km ring doughnut and then runs off to pester that french guy.

The Q would beat everything, Along with species 8472, and several other races.
The races in Star Trek also have a higher population not to mention there are more and we know more about them than halo.
I honestly think this was a stupid thread made out of ignorance and these “VS” threads should be counted as spam. If people hardly know the haloverse how can we expect them to know about other universe and take the thread seriously? Especially if they are children or hid being some logical fallacy or bias.
I’d give the win to Star Trek, superior tech in all instances. How is a Covenant Elite supposed to compete against a PHASER of all things. Those might as well have an exterminate/delete feature by comparison to their tech. The next worse thing would be the Covenant deploying Red Armored Elites and Grunts to the Star Trek Universe.

Your getting a tad harsh aren’t out. I think hopping on people with both feet is worse than hypothetical threads. Is this kind of thing exactly what these forums are for? I mean its a hobby, relax.
Back on subject. I think Star Trek and Halo are abut equal. The tech is just arranged differently.
Q wins. And that’s not considering that humanity will evolve beyond the Q-continuum and so become beings that should already co-exist with the Q… but we’ll leave that paradox alone and just say Q did it.

Of course Star Wars tech would beat Halo tech, and the magical fairy Q would beat Star Wars. But the topic is specifically comparing Halo to Star Trek. Cool your jets toots. Its your attitude that’s harsh. Not the truth. Don’t turn into a Diva about it.

Gee, thanks. Really digging the feedback I get from trying to pose a fun question.
If you think these threads are stupid, then leave them alone and let them be stupid. Some people actually enjoy these.

Uh, not even close.
Almost all space faring species in Star Trek have antimatter weapons and use energy weapons almost exclusively. The first Enterprise (NX-01) would have no problem tearing a Halcyon class ship apart, let alone the Enterprise-E or D. Defiant would turn an Assault Carrier into debris.
At most, the Federation could have trouble with the Covenant on a ship to ship level (would decimate if the balance in numbers was tipped, or if the ship tonnage didn’t match up). The Forerunners come could closest to matching or exceeding Federation tech. The Flood simply hijack ships, so, as long as Starfleet wasn’t completely idiotic and managed to keep away from infection, there’s that.

I’m not so sure on that. There are alot of Sci-fi games out there and personally, I would say that Mass effect surpasses Halo when it comes to story, same could be said of Bioshock. But it ultimately comes down to opinion.
I really would see the Star Trek ships equipment of Teleporter arrays to be incredibly detrimental to both UNSC and Covenant Forces. The Covenant have proven incapable of blocking a teleporter, so; full away teams could be beamed on board a vessel.
You can’t really compare star trek to Halo. Halo is cooler and classier while star trek just has almighty killing gods.
I though star wars would win against star trek?
