Halo: The Master Chief Collection is within the top selling games on Steam at the moment, and is also within the top hundred most played games on Steam. In terms of player numbers, that means it’s competing with the biggest PC shooters out there (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Team Fortress 2) despite only containing two flawed ports. These ports are of Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved (release order), and both contain Halo’s original core gameplay.
343 Industries and Microsoft, please don’t ignore this demand for classic Halo should it continue after Halo: The Master Chief Collection is fully available on PC. Certain Affinity did excellent work on Halo 2: Anniversary’s multiplayer component, so even teaming up with them to make every other Halo release a classic one would be great.

This is great news! Hopefully, as more games under the MCC get released, it’ll maintain its status and player count to Infinite and beyond.
They should release Halo Wars 2 on steam also.
I’m pretty sure nobody ignores it. Actually every video games website talked about he MCC’s when it became available on Steam.
so yeah, they’re fully aware that Halo makes a lot of money. Now we just have to wait for Microsoft’s next move and how they will develop the Halo universe in video games or cross medias.
I dunno though, halo has a way of being a hit, then dying out after a few months (a year at best) and then suddenly reviving at the point of extinction when something omes along. I’m not sure if MCC on Steam will be any exception seeing as the public prefer to play whatever is new.

Excluding Halo 2: Anniversary and some throwaway playlists in Halo 5: Guardians, Microsoft and 343 Industries have been ignoring the demand for Halo’s original gameplay since 2012. Maybe you’re right, but we’ll need to wait and see.
