Halos saga armor abilities.Gameplay or canon?

Hello,

I’m replaying Halo 4s campaign and when I used a hologram I thought if this abilities where to be accepted as part of the cannon or just gameplay add ons.

For example, I know that jet packs are part of the canon since I read Halo: The fall of Reach but, a part of this ability, none of the others are mention on the history. This goes for Halo: Reach, since on Halo 4 we’re suppose to be using forerunner technology and I consider this question to be answer on it.

Thank you.

Some of the effects of Armor Abilities are customized for gameplay, but Armor Abilities are canon. Most involve overriding suit functions or tactical attachments.

Thruster Pack and Jet Pack are for zero-g movement and some in-atmosphere movement.
Hologram produces a moving copy. This was likely found and reverse engineered from the Covenant’s tech (The Heretic’s hologram sidekicks in Halo 2).
Active Camo is from Covenant tech.
[Reach]Sprint overrides the suits speed systems and allows you to push faster.
Regeneration field is Forerunner tech (I believe) that produces a self contained healing area, like the spires seen in Halo Wars.
The drop shield is a technology to produce a shield around the user.
etc.

Thank you

No problem

Indeed they are canon, being implied into matchmaking scared off alot of players, but I enjoy it and it only makes sense. Tweaks could be made of course, however.

JSA, you are wrong on a few things. Here:
