accepting this new halo 5 like nothing is wrong
You act like something is horribly wrong. When it comes down to it, the multiplayer is extremely solid but the only problem is the lack of maps and some content that has been promised.
Im sick of people like you who think req packs are the worst thing ever or suck with the pistol so they hate multiplayer.
They weren’t around when halo was the clear cut best video game in the world so they have low expectations and even lower attention spa-oooooh look a rare helmet in my REQ pack!!!
or you are being difficult and expect them to provide you with a nostalgia halo rather than a halo that can actually survive and make them money. Obviously it has flaws but compare it to past Halo games and they are doing a good job. They are paying attention, providing news and listening to the community more than ever before. The main thing that should get someone frustrated is the game being “half done” at launch, but that’s the nature of game now and days. The idea is to get it out where it is playable, then patch in more content and fixes as they are discovered. Game companies are businesses first after all.
You’re generalizing and calling an entire group horrible. Does that make you a good part of the community? I’m not going to argue with you over that fact, but I will argue with you about your topic. People aren’t accepting it like their is nothing wrong. Their is still some constructive criticism. You just see far less pure complaints than you did in the past. This is IMO from a few different things. One big one is that some vets have moved on and the new Halo is catering to new folks that enjoy the aspects. Another could be the fact that their are currently so many games out, that it’s hard to care about one in particular enough to complain on the forums about it. The old crowd could also just finally hit the acceptance point that this is what Halo has become and either enjoy it or don’t. I think a big factor is the MCC. If we want to play old Halo we can play all of them in one collection. I was playing Halo 5 their other day, got kinda tired of it and went to MCC. I didn’t leave Halo 5 because I was disagreeing with things in the game. I just wanted to play old Halo, so I did. In the past I would have got off the current Halo and went straight to the forums to post my dislike for the game or the fact that I’m losing interest. Now I can just go play MCC.

I was around during the prime Halo 2 XBL days. Trust me, it was my absolute favorite time in video game history. With that said, Halo 5 is certain a cut above Halo Reach, Halo 3 and Halo 4. I find it hard for me to complain when the franchise I love is at it’s best since essentially Halo 2(it’s prime ended in 07). So Halo is better than it has been for thee last 8 years. Halo 5 is MILES better than Halo 3, I know that anyone that started late H2-early H3 will disagree because of their nostalgia vision. I’m not going to get into the Halo 3 bashing, but that game was so highly broken and ridiculed late 07 to early 09. If anyone doesn’t remember that, they’re crazy. The hitscan and aim acceleration still make it feel clunky in the MCC. The 60 FPS does help it feel like a much smoother game though. Reguardless, Halo needed change. I love the old Halo for what it was, but it was just too plain, that trend was never going to hold up forever. Their is a reason that fast paced arena shooters like DOOM and UT aren’t really relevant anymore. They ran with the same concept for years with NO change and people just started looking for things to complain about. UTIII IMO is an absolutely fantastic fast paced arena FPS. Yet most of the hardcore UT fans hate the game. It’s really not that far off from the previous games, it’s a very similar monster. People just grew tired of it and looked for reasons to complain about it.
Oh noes. Other people have a different opinion than you do!
It’s not the end of the world. People like what they like, not what YOU like. That’s how opinions work.
