Why is it all the new helmets that use cameras to see just have an orange sticker instead of a light like the other games had? Even all the concept art shows the helmets/attachments with a light where the camera is. Shouldn’t this be changed back? Isn’t it counter intuitive at this point
I have a tin-foil hat theory that the helmet attachments are still untextured.
We know Jorge’s shoulder is untextured, and it seems that the chest pieces are the same since they don’t change with the coatings. Helmet attachments may be in the same boat. The cat ears are the only things that do change with the coating, so it’s likely that 343 just hasn’t finished that yet.
What helmets specifically?
None are coming to mind if I’m being honest.
I also have asked why there are NO ARMOR LIGHTS on any armor? Even the Mk V armor has no armor lights like it did in Reach. Where are the blue lights? Instead, depending on the coating, the squares are painted a different color, where there should be lights. They should be lights. Halo armor had lights all the way up until Halo 5 started to remove them. Halo Online let you customize your light colors.
Tons of Halo Infinite helmet attachments are gray with an orange square, and you can’t change the color either. I wish our lights and orange squares would be our visor color.
Maybe coming with the Watchdog and Red Shift “fix” update, or the crooked and off-centered Cyber Showdown effects. As long as they don’t admit the game was unfinished, they’re “listening to feedback” and “fixing it”
Yeah the attachments are one thing, but the original post made it sound like there was some sort of default helmet deal going on.
Nah they’re just talking about the latest armor and helmets in Halo Infinite not having lights, like for example Venator was my favorite helmet in 4 and 5, and it has neon blue lights instead of a visor. Most helmets without visors had some kind of light instead. Halo Infinite’s armor and helmets just have painted squares. It’s sad how bad this game looks sometimes. Every Halo before had lights. Even a few Reach helmet attachments had orange lights on the binoculars or whatever was on the attachment. OP hasn’t posted in 5 years, so I’m sure by “latest” they mean Halo Infinite, the latest game.
This gives me hope. It’s so true. Thank you

No problem. Just be careful. Hope can be a painful emotion.
