Halo's construction time ?

I don’t know if all of this has been talk before but in halo wars 2 it’s said that the ark keep a replacement ring in it’s forge so (a backup one) it’s not suppose to be installation 04c or 03 or any other .My problem is if the forge keep a fully operational ring why in halo 3 it wasn’t (ready) after million of years without incident or the backup one has been sent in original 04 location and its just the next backup in halo 3(with the same landscape of 04 original)and how fast the ring are build because it take few month to build 04b but people say that the halo wars 2 ring is 04c and that one must take YEARS to build .(i know the ring has been stop in mid slipsapce but)if the 04c is in place at proximity of reach and in halo wars 2 it’s said you can only deploy ring (i dont know how many and if the ark can acknowledge the new one )at where they suppose to be ,if the ring had reach (No pun intended)It’s destination near reach…would that mean it would have 2 halo ring orbiting the same planet for a grand total of 8 halo ring in the galaxie?and how many backup can you launch from the ark? If the ark ran out of material (ark’s core) where can it take a new one?does the ark go slipsapce take a moon in the galaxie and then go back to it’s original position? Does the control room of the ark (Halo 3) rebuild itself for having all the rings status?

First off, please use punctuation and proper grammar so your post is somewhat readable.

Second, the Ark only starting building Installation 04b after the originals destruction in Halo 1. Given the entire original trilogy takes place over a series of about three months and how complete the replacement ring was (along with Bungie’s love for the number), I’d say that you’re probably looking at 7 months for a complete ring with a fully grown biosphere and complete operating systems to be in place. Less, if you just want a plain ring with basic habitats developed.

It probably keeps the materials for a spare in for forge at all time, but doesn’t begin construction until the destruction of a ring. That way they can customize it to match the individual ring that needs replacement.

Wait, but in HW2, we have the third Alpha Halo just being sitting around for like 5 to years in the Ark? If it only takes 7 months, wouldn’t it have been sent to its destination already? Maybe it takes 7 months for the ring itself to build and then the biosphere comes, but that doesn’t fit with Halo 3… DARN THE RULE OF COOL!!

“Did a number on the Ark”

Chances are very high that when Installation 04b fired during the events of Halo 3, and given the Ring shook itself apart and thus crashed back down to the the Aark’s surface, I think it’s safe to assume that something broke and the automated controls for launching the Rings into Slipspace mostly likely were destroyed or so heavily damaged that they went offline.

True, didn’t even think of that… It could also be the Ark was repairing itself instead of building a new ring.

But I can’t believe that it took so long repairing the ark.yeah it was damage but it create a 10 000 km wide ring in 7 month so repairing itself wouldn’t be that long and after rebuilding a ring and keep It?the forerunner create the ark and halo ring to be ready to fire at all time.why would the ark keep 04c fully operational outside the galaxy?in halo 3 you see the ring in very early stage of construction and guilty spark said just a few days before firing without destroying itself .I presume the ark sent the ring unfinished but ready to fire because that’s the priority.why the ark has a function to release unfinished ring or why would it keep a operational one…

Well, I mean. If it only takes 7 months, than the ark was repairing itself for the other 4ish years. Also I believe the ark’s ability to repair itself was stalled a bit when the ark tried to use earth for materials and was stopped. So either it repaired it self in a timely manner and just had a full function Halo sitting in its forge or the ring just finished a bit before Hw2 takes place.

The Ark’s AI sends outs sentinels to gather materials needed for construction of a new ring to surrounding areas and thats how the materials are harvested.
7 months seems to be the correct amount of time from start to finish as stated above.
