The past few weeks I have been playing the game with friends having a blast. I love Halo I have been a longtime fan, but recently I have noticed a few things while playing solo.
Players are team killing, blowing up vehicles if they get taken before they get there, Team killing to steal ordinance etc… I played a big team recently on exile as the red team. We gained a huge lead at the start of the match taking the tank, banshee, rockets, and Gauss Hog all withing the first few moments of the game.
As the game progressed the vehicles were wiped out and then the madness started. Banshee respawned two men run for it one makes it in and is shot down right after getting in by a teammate rocket. His excuse was “He has been hogging it all game”! When in fact It was myself who got in it first that player had not been in it once. At the same time that was going on the tank was moving about and one red team member got out and over the mic told his friend he was going to call in his weapon give it to his buddy and hop back in the tank. Another player heard it and took a ghost and ran them over took the binary rifle, hopped in the tank, ran it straight into blue team and lost the tank and binary. The members that were ran over asked what the Yoink he was doing and he said “Your loss guys” then left the game.
I don’t know if I have just been getting horrible team members but it is almost every single match that these type of things go on. I have given up playing with people I dont know. I cant even finish a game without being betrayed, having someone kill me for a weapon I have, or just act like a fool and drag the whole team down if we are losing by just a few kills.
Back when I played Halo 2 on xbox it was very rare to get horrible teammates. Maybe more adults played back then. Halo 3 started to get worse but it was not too bad. I never really got into reach much cant comment on that. Halo 4 is a game I play for fun. Win or lose it really doesnt bother me, but when I cant even play the game without someone acting against the team and bringing everyone down then whats the point? I dont even play it anymore unlsee a few friends invite me. I submit player reveiws and avoid those that act in that manner, but the more I play the more people I run into.
Anyway thats my little rant. Hopefully 343 can impliment some changes to help stop some of these issues.
I’m just sick how 343 is just a bunch of big team lovers and screwing over the 4v4, competitive guys, and the forgers.
Please don’t send Kevin Franklin to another MLG event, you guys call it support? I call it “you don’t know what your doing” the man was wondering where the bigger maps were, where the ar’s were, and why there wasn’t any flagssainations.

you wanna know what sucks more??!!! The a s s h o l e s who take your assesinations , sisiously wtf is wrong with them , they should make like in BF3 , when you are assesinating him , no one can touch it.

Yeah that can get very annoying. I try to stop shooting as soon as I see a player doing one and focus on covering him/her. Sometimes its unavoidable but in general its just people being greedy.
Tbh, when you have xp based load out systems that reward based on personal performace etc it promotes very selfish game play. Why work as a team in H4 when everyone gets xp? Answer; there is no reason to. Hence, players start actively acting even worse. Add annonymity to it as well and it’s a recipe for disaster.

You must have been playing different games than me, because I got teamed up with obnoxious foul-mouthed 13 year olds, derankers, and flat out terrible kids who had no business being ranked very high at all ALL THE TIME in both Halo 2 and Halo 3.
My plan is to go back to Halo 3 till the new battlefield comes out. Halo is still headed in the wrong direction and you’d be a fool to think Halo 5 or 6 would be any different.

I stuck to ranked playlists in H3 so I guess I cant really comment on the general gaming and social lists. Halo 2 I never had an issue I must just have been lucky I guess.

Maybe I was just unlucky…
I played tons of ranked in both games and had far worse experiences with teammates in ranked than in social. The only thing that happened in social was sometimes people would betray for sniper (etc) but that’s about it - not a big deal.
I’ll take a sniper stealing teammate in social over a deranking/terrible teammate in ranked any day of the week.
