Halo quite obviously, is changing. Some changes are big, some are small, and some are beneficial, like the movement system. But there are some things that weren’t good changes, particularly in the aesthetics area. The human Armour in Halo 5 seems off, i dont know what it is, but it just does. The Covenant Armour feels ok except for grunts. Grunts are iconic and i feel like Halo 3 NAILED them. Another area of change is the environments. The environments feel mechanical and clunky, I dont know how to explain it. Try looking at Siera 117 (Halo 3), and then looking at osiris, sierra 117 had lush green forests and an abandoned power plant and it all felt real, while on Osiris even the snow feels out of place. Think about the plasma rifle, ads, the br, and other weapons, many of them were changed unnecessarily. Imagine a saw in Sgt. Johnson’s hands in Sierra 117, it doesn’t feel right. Now, 343 you have done alot of things right, but listen here, I know its YOUR Halo now, and YOU get to make the decisions but really its our Halo. While changing alot is ok and often beneficial, its OK to leave something the same.

If you don’t know what the problem is, don’t try to complain about it.
Those weapon changes were necessary. Many weapons were simply placeholders until a BR could be picked up and served no lethal function.
Johnson could operate any weapon and it would be fine.

I feel like the aesthetics have been out of place since 4, but 5 is even worse.

Johnson knows what the ladies like. He’s a Spartan I super-soldier as well, and spartans never die. MWahahahahahaa… fanfiction for days.

You’re missing his point. Not that Johnson can’t use a SAW, but that a super shiny, sci-fi stylized SAW would look out of place in the hands of G.I. Joe-hnson. The point I believe he’s trying to make is that stylistically the game looks very different compared to the older games.
I understand his points, but I don’t agree, however; I shouldn’t bother trying to argue over different opinions on aesthetics. No one wins.

The saw wouldn’t seem right, but the laser is fine… apparently
I sort of like the change. I feel like a spartan more now
