(This happend awhile back) I was playing HaloReach, I was at 500,000 Credits, raising up to buy something in the armory, and I got a pop up saying something like this: You might be hacking or something… Reset your credits… or your Rank… So I chose rank, I was a General Grade 3 at the time, and it reset my rank and my credits, Why did this happen?

I’ve never heard of this either. I would guess that the game somehow thought whatever you were doing at the time was cheating, even if you weren’t. But that really sucks man, I hope you can figure it out.

Eh, this heppend like 2 years ago, I’m way over it now, just felt like asking sense I never knew the answer for all these years xD
Omg dude this what I’m looking for, I was a high level and I was young too and I got that message. It reset everything and not only that but it’s harder for me to get credits? My friends get 3000 or 2000 per round and I get 135 or barely 1000. Making it very difficult for me.

I’ve never heard of this, but just recently like 3 days ago I received a credit ban for earning too many credits because I was about to hit the 250k daily credit cap for the 3rd day in a row by just playing grifball. The automatic systems that Bungie implemented into the game was quite stupid because I’ve only ever seen it do wrong by people.

Hey man. First off, please don’t bump topics that are over a year old.
Second of all, this was Bungie’s way of combatting people who would boost their account level offline (which is much easier than online) and then bring it online, essentially destroying the integrity of the ranking system.
Once you try to join Xbox Live on that profile, you will be asked to sacrifice your cR and rank. As you rank up, you will begin earning cR a lot faster.

Are you sure it was a cR ban or did you just hit the cap again?

How do you even get close to the credit limit? Are you playing 24 hours or something? Or does the rate at which you earn credits increase dramatically at higher ranks? I’m a Commander Grade 1 and I get on average 2-3k credits per game of Grifball. I’ll get a maximum of around 6k-7k in games where I’m able to mass spawn kill and/or hold on to the bomb for as long as I can. I noticed you’re Mythic rank, so how much credits do you get compared to me?

The higher ranked you are, the more cR you get. For an average game of Vanilla Grifball at Inheritor, I’d normally get about 7-8k cR per game.
If you take into account how many games of Grifball and Firefight a player can probably fit into a good 8-12 hour session, you’ll likely hit the cap daily.
Halo reach server has been down for 4 days now can play on match making but no credits are being issued I’m so close to becoming Inheritor, and all my play time the last 4 days are for nothing, can’t even work on commedations, please fix!!!
