I have this fear that a new Halo game might fail. See, I was one of those stupid kids that wouldn’t shut up about Reach. Once Reach came out, I promised myself to never get so excited about a game that you forget things like, this game has a chance of failing.
So now I have this icky feeling inside. I’m standing in the middle, and on two sides, there is the Halo 4 which succeeds, and on the other side is Halo 4 which fails. I can’t decide which one Halo 4 will be. It looks like an amazing game, but then again I see tiny things that make me unsure that could expand into horrible choices.
Sometimes the worse thing that could happen to a band, movie, game, is for the people to try to experiment with different things. Nothing wrong with that. But what they forget is that people always will like originals. Nothing beats the original. And when you change that one tiny thing that people grow a passion for, it crumbles.
I’m kinda of in the middle right now. So I can say I know how you feel. I’m excited but also worry that it might fail.
I’m pretty sure 343i hope Halo 4 will be failling or better. As failling is 9 million unit sold in less than a year I don’t want to see a win lulz.

Failing as in the gameplay sucks. If the gameplay sucks then the game has fail. All the Loyal competitive hardcore fans were let down with Reach. Who gives a damn if Halo 4 does not out sell COD. If it has great gameplay then it wins, but if the gameplay sucks and it has a poor skill gap then it fails.
I don’t like a few small things here and there (like the control schemes; customizable layouts pl0x), but it mostly seems like an amazing game. The gameplay looks great, too.
Aside from the multiplayer, the campaign and fifty free Spartan ops missions would sell it for me. Then you get excellent multiplayer, forge and custom games on top of that. I don’t think it will fail at all.
