halocharts

i have lost all motivation to play halo reach since halocharts is going bye bye. that was the only reason why i continued to play, i love halo but i can only handle so much of this game now. call of duty is looking bright in my near future and 15 of my friends are leaving as well.

so you are going to stop playing a game just because a community is closing down?

what part of this sounds like a smart idea…?

Halocharts was & is a big part of alot of people. I have had many memories I will ever forget there. And the people I met will be remembered even longer.

This is the worst news I have heard all day, I didn’t know they were shutting down Halocharts.

Halotracker

how am i ganna show that im better than 95% of halo players now with out halocharts.com
I DONE !

i can’t tell if the people above me are trolling or are just plain … nope, not going to continue this line of thought.

can some one please explain to me how a website that doesn’t influence the game in anyway shape or form is the sole reason some people are playing and having and so when it’s closing down it causes people to quit?
seriously, i can’t understand this…

This is beyond pathetic.

There’s nothing more that I would love to do but absolutely verbally dismantle these two clowns. Unfortunately, I’ve already had 2 of my posts edited by moderators and I definitely don’t wanna risk a ban.

Ugh.

I hope it didn’t sound like I was quitting, because I’m not. Halocharts has been a great use to me by helping me find Halosphere and some really great people.

this makes sense, it is always sad to see a community go, i’m sad to see that the closing of halocharts is causing satyros close aswell since it’s a group on halocharts sad face.

your reason is understandable but my comment was more aimed at the other people that seem to be lacking in decent trails of thought…

TO PUT IT BLUNT, IT MADE ME STRIVE TO BEAT THE PERSON AHEAD OF ME, I WAS RAMKED 353 IN TEAM SLAYER AND I HAD 6 50S NOW I HAVE NOTHING TO KEEP ME GOING.

can you please calm down and clear your mind so you are not posting in blind rage and so we can understand you.

If that’s the sole reason you play Halo, then you’re playing it for the wrong reasons. I pity you farewell, don’t let the door hit you on the backside on the way out.

so there is a right way?

Everyone has reasons they play a video game, whether it be intense storylines, thoughtful characters, fun multiplayer, etc. However, I believe Reach wasn’t meant to be played for the sole purpose of boosting stats on an unofficial stat-tracking website.

stats are there to add another competitive element to the game because like to fight over who is better and those stats are there as proof, i know you can see all this on waypoint and b.net but these stat tracking sites also offer a ranking system that shows you what your position is against other players who are also tracking there stats on that site, so, players always want to be better then everyone else they will play just for the sole purpose of trying to be better and the prove they are better.

there are no right and wrong reasons to play a game, if there is a reason, any reason at all that gets you playing the game then it is a right reason.

> im leaving as well RIP COMPETITIVE GAMING

Halocharts wasn’t competitive gaming.

What’s HaloCharts?

Wrong reasons? Unless it’s somehow bringing down the enjoyment of others, I don’t think it’s any of your business what their own reasons for playing are.

Halocharts gave players what Bungie and 343 chose not to, it doesn’t surprise me at all if people quit over this. Not that I agree with it by any means, I just understand it.

If Living Dead was removed tomorrow and 20k players stopped, I wouldn’t be coming here bashing them because “it’s not the proper way to play Halo.”

If there were no numbers in Halo CE, why did people play it?
