Hey guys, SHADOWSTRIKE1 here. Like many of you, I was a big fan of the global Halo leaderboard website, HaloCharts. Well, Firestream (the creator of HaloCharts), has been contemplating the idea of bringing back HaloCharts. After talking with him, he let me know that he has decided that he would like to take a new approach this time around, and wants to gauge community excitement for the project.
The new project is titled HaloForce.com, and is kicking off it’s initial opt-in to see if this is something the community wants. If you were a fan of HaloCharts back in the day, or would like to see a top-tier leaderboard website start-up in a big way, I would recommend checking it out.
For those that are unfamiliar with what HaloCharts was, it was a global leaderboard which tracked all of your Halo stats and compared it to others. For competitive players, this was great as it added a whole new tier to the ranking system on top of the already established numerical value. For instance, many of us were ranked 1% Onyx, but HaloCharts gave us an in-depth leaderboard rank on top of that. That gave gamers another ladder to climb, and expanded on gameplay.
However, it wasn’t just about the highly competitive gamers. There was leaderboard rankings for things like “Who has the most plasma pistol kills?” or “Who was killed the most by falling off the map?” or “Who has the highest headshot per sniper kill ratio?”. All these things on top of cool site utilities like the ability to search two gamertags, and see the exact game stats for every game you’ve played against that person. Want to know if you’ve ever run across your friend in matchmaking before? Well you could!
I’m not trying to advertise here. I’m a 3rd party just trying to spread the word about a site that I know was loved by all sorts of fans. Let me know if you were a fan of HaloCharts, or post any suggestions you may have for the site. I’m sure this thread will find it’s way to the right people.
