Compare h5 Spartans too halo reach.
Play CTF on reach and look at your Spartans wrists and be amazed and the realism still to this day. H5 Spartans look anime but at least 343 got the colours right. Halo 4 was pastel pink vs pastel baby blue and all the maps were cartoonish like they came straight out of a warner bros cartoon or bugs bunny cartoon.
Look ok at halo reach maps like Boneyard or countdown or powerhouse. Where’s all the grimness gone out of halo? Where’s the concrete gone that had oil slicks on the ground from where the scorpion usually spawns? Why is it’s always so overly SCI FI with 343. They have no balance. It’s always forunner or overly SCI Fi human art. We want maps like boneyard back. Simple art that we can all relate to. Industrial sites etc as well as the SCI FI.
And make ale the spartans look real on not anime. I mean look how cartoonish they look when playing break out in halo 5. Compare it to halo reach!

When you say it’s always Forerunner with 343, I don’t know what you were expecting since Bungie left off with Chief floating towards a Forerunner shield world. Also, Halo 4 has a lot of maps set in human environments. If you can somehow relate to Boneyard, then you should be able to relate to any human-themed map in Halo 4
And Chief had been in cryo for almost 5 years. I guess 343 should apologize for thinking something like UNSC aesthetics would change over the course of 5 years. Reach has a gritty look to it because, in my opinion, it reflects the story and atmosphere of the game. I wouldn’t want Reach to look all cartoony with the story it tells, but in Halo 4, the colors and lighting were really good. It showed that the Forerunners truly were a very advanced race, like what you would expect to find in a sci-fi movie
Something else to keep in mind: in Halo 4, War Games are training simulations, whereas Reach was like how Halo always before Halo 4: just Spartans/Elites fighting Spartans/Elites. It makes sense that Halo 4’s multiplayer map color palette and lighting can be how they are since they’re all computer-generated environments anyway

Halo 1/2/3 were all cartooney, Reach was Reach.
I hated the art direction of Halo: Reach. In my opinion Halo 3 had the best art direction of all the games.
