This is so amazing!!! I would just buy halo 5 finally just to play these modes. After a good 10 yrs I can finally see 343 and the community uniting into one! Keep it up !! But I’m on PC now so I’m just hoping this feeling and modes will be translated to Halo Infinite! Thank you 343! These gametypes are legit and will bring back old fellows like me after 10yrs! I would just remove the stabilize function and keep everything else! Loved the removal of clamber because back in the day skill jumps were always rewarding to me to practice and learn :). What do you guys think? I think this mode needs to be defaulted for rank in Infinite
343, I think giving us the customization as in Halo Online / Eldewrito 0.6.1 will be an amazing feature for us to make our own custom games to be shared to the community. Just give us everything we loved about all the Halo’s and let us create what we desire. Of course along with what your team wants to bring to the social matchmaking! I think you guys are doing an amazing job with everything. Thank you so much for teaming up with the community. Love you guys.
What are your opinions!?
Edit: For everyone else that loves all those abilities in Halo 5 I say they can keep it in a social mode but not competitive. Or allow them to enable it in the options while creating a game mode. Like I said, just allow us to enable and disable things to our liking I think that will make most people happy.
Goes to show you can’t please all the people all the time .
I didn’t like the mythic settings at all .
In fact it has cemented my view on go full classic or full enhanced but not this hybrid version that feels like trying to force a compromise between classic or enhanced and ends up feeling clunky and unrefined .
For a little context I enjoyed H3 throwback , h5 , the odst settings and also the community made evolved settings . I really thought I would enjoy the mythic ones but I really disliked them .

I think it’d be best if they do what Halo 5 is doing now and diversify the playlists to modern and classic. Combining them serves neither justice. They’ve definitely got the resources and budget to satisfy everyone.
It’d be cool if there were two multiplayers, one with Spartan IIs and one with Spartan IVs, differentiating the mobility.

I agree, but they do need to heavily tone down modern, its just… annoying to play.
Bringing a mythic type combat style and a classic combat style is the way I would want it to pan out, and just delete things that aren’t needed for either game mode, like ground pound; maybe keeping things like ground pound for forge settings would be the way to go to, so people could make fun and unique forge creations while normal people don’t have to deal with it in social matchmaking or forge creations that it’s not needed/wanted in.

What? No.
Modern and Mythic/Classic.
My point is to allow the option to choose between the two so in that you’re not forced into one you don’t prefer.
Modern to allow actual progress to be made, and classic to reprieve for if it’s somehow too much for you.

I see what you’re saying. I think if they just give us options and versatility for us to choose and pick then we should all be good to go :).

Exactly. The simple fact that the development budget reaches $500 million would mean that Halo Infinite is going to blow everything out of the water, even if they chose modern OR classic. Halo 5 had a similar effect, but it eventually stagnated thanks to a diverse, incentivized market.
Seriously, if Halo Infinite gave us the option to play as Spartan IIs, IIIs, and IVs including equipment, Armor Abilities, and Spartan Abilities in their respective playlists, there is literally nothing it could do wrong. Everyone gets what they want.
The game should be structured around “classic” or the base mechanics game. However the game settings would allow the spartan abilities to be enabled and edited to whatever capacity a player wants to create.Playlists could then come up based off feedback and refreshment. It is all about giving players the control. #PlayersCustomExperience

Exactly like I said, they should definitely take this route. I’m hoping they go this way fingers crossed
Of course Infinite will be a new installment in the franchise, however, this is eventually the direction for the base gameplay in the next installment.
It’s something I argued countless times for - the run&gun gameplay, which means you almost never lower your weapon during the gameplay. The only abilities, that are still active are thrusters & stabilizers, which doesn’t really go against run&gun gameplay.
However, I feel like that they are aiming for more than that. It seems like the real intention is to implement a limited Thrust-Boost (for a few seconds), which will act as a 2nd BMS, the only difference is, that you wont have to lower your weapon. Additionally to that, “Thrust” will be most likely replaced with a nerfed version of evade.
H5 is not the game to judge if those settings would or would not work - as I already said, the intention and the direction is the thing everyone has to look at. Of course it will feel clunky when you play it in a sandbox that is build from the ground up for another movement system.

Yea, I’m just crossing fingers that nothing feels out of place and runs smoothly in terms of the movement and settings.
