#Halo4Everyone Let's get it trending!

This is for all the Halo fans outside of North America who desperately want 343 to address the problem of LAG in matchmaking and the lack of a local search.

Apart from a few quickly buried forum posts and some replies to singular users on twitter we’ve seen almost no response from 343 about the crippling LAG in matchmaking for those outside of North America

The goal here is to create a positive movement so that the games press and 343 will sit up and take notice of the problem.

Twitter can be a powerful force for change and it appears 343 are more active there than they are here so let’s get #Halo4Everyone trending.

The reason I chose the hashtag #Halo4Everyone is that it is a positive message, Halo should be for everyone not just for fans in North America. So please tweet at any of the 343ers on this list and provide postive, non-abusive feedback and of coarse the hashtag #Halo4Everyone

I believe we can start a movement if we all work together.

It’s not just MatchMaking where there are issues, Campaign Co Op and Spartan Ops have been absolutely atrocious with LAG as well.

Halo 3/Reach ran absolutely brilliant with 4 of your mates and Halo 4 should have been the best Co Op to date as it’s clearly the best Halo but that just hasn’t been the case. LAG in Spartan Ops has been so bad at times that we have had to actually stop playing and we haven’t had a single Co Op session where the LAG hasn’t shown up to ruin the day for 1 or more people.

This is the same group of guys that I play a lot of Co Op games with including Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3 in more recent times and there have been zero issues in those titles so why have 343 got it so wrong with Halo 4?

If it is Halo 4 EVERYONE will you be requesting that 343 implements fully remappable controls (Which isn’t that hard, come on Borderlands 2 JUST did it a few months ago, if they can pull it off there is no excuse why 343 can’t), so that physically handicapped gamers will be able to perform better?

This movement needs to focus on regional match making to be effective.
By all means suggest other improvements but #Halo4everyone is all about lag free matchmaking!

I love this franchise as so let’s save it outside of north America.

I’d just like to clarify that this is in no way a criticism of America or Americans, we simply want LAG-free games for everyone.

According to these forums I must be the only non-North American to not experience lag due to physical distance. I get matched with locals almost all of the time when I play. Though, if I am playing at odd hours I do expect international games. However, the same can be said about Halo Reach. Not to mention that Halo 3 was (and still is) international game after international game, the connection filter in Halo 3 prevented you from finding a match.

Are you in Australia? If so you’re one of the lucky ones because out of all the Aussies I know that play Halo almost all of them have had issues with LAG. Obviously no game is perfect and there were some issues in previous Halo games but not to the degree we’ve seen in 4 (and usually at the start of the game’s life cycle is when you have a better chance getting decent games due to the larger player base).

Australian hosts.

Enough said.

Tweeting.

All those players experiencing game crippling lag plz get behind this initiative.

Have all the Aussies already given up on the game?

A regional filter may not be the magic bullet, but it couldn’t hurt our chances.

Must admit, the few games I’ve played it’s been 50/50 whether it’s been a lag fest or semi smooth

Completely agree. The lag for any game I’ve connected too is pretty bad.

Agree with Dave - a regional filter may be a good start.

I do love Spartan Ops but when you get complete freezes or extreme lag every few minutes it is really hard to fully enjoy.

Cmon Aussies lets make a difference to the local multiplayer scene.

Good to see the people asking for a small improvement to what is already an awesome game!

I don’t understand why alot of people think the United States is some exclusive little hub. The United States is HUGE. It needs filters of its own, even bf3 has separate regions for it. I feel like the East Coast is like the nexus of the universe because I get players from West Coast, Mexico, South US, Europe and everywhere else. People from Chile are the worst…they are impossible to kill and kill you with 1 shot ALL the time.

Never had an Australian player though or never noticed em, but I do check the profiles a lot, and very consistently its players not near my area at all.

The lag is probably more subtle for Americans versus the incredibly obvious lag for Aussies, but its still irritating when you die in 2 shots after you shot the guy 7 times even if the game isn’t jumping around.

No raging on international players, I just get a little irritated when it seems like everyone uses the USA as a punching bag.

I support this thread though

Put it this way, this OP may not be demanding what you want, but its better than not getting an improvement at all
