Hello ! I have been having the most horrible problem with this game. Every time I put it on my disc-tray there is a message displayed as an error status code 03-57-00. and on the icon where is supposed to be the current game playing on the dash board says unrecognised Disc. I have changed my game a couple of times with those of friends to see if the disc was the problem but no positive response. a few weeks ago the game played perfectly and suddenly it just stops? WTF? I spent around 107 dollars on a game that does not work? I searched the internet and asked my friends and the issue remains unattended. There are lots of people who have been having this same problem and nothing changes. Looked everywhere for a support contact info and nothing. So either the developers do not care for their clients or I don’t know what is going on. My console is not the problem. I have been playing different new games and everything runs smooth. Is there a solution for this or what can I do? Is there a support team or anyone that can help or are we just supposed to leave a 100dred dollar game get dusted?
I am Having the same problem. I have a refurbished xbox and so initially i thought it was the console. The only game i was unable to play was halo 4, however when i used my halo 4 disk on another persons console it worked without issue so i took my refurbished xbox in and got it replaced. When i got home I played halo 2-3 times without issue for approx. 3-4 ours total play time. I thought i was in the clear and had resolved the issue. Fast forward to the next morning when i turned on my console to find the unrecognized disk error. Now i used my disk on my brothers console for an extended period of time very recently with no problem. He has a brand new Xbox (MW3 SE) and it has the massive hard drive and all the bells and whistles. I wonder if there was a bad batch of disks that are ruining consoles or what? I know this has been an issue since launch but i wonder why Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged it as an issue either for the disks or the consoles or both. All i want to do is play halo and I can’t so yeah I empathize with you and hope more people will post there experience. It is out of the consumers hands.
Hey, yeah, same thing has happened to me too, I went into my xbox settings and deleted any updates and DLC for it, which seems to have worked for the time being. I too replaced the disk a couple of times with the exact same problem, so it might be something to do with the new updates? unknown but keep posting with changes.
Don’t be so quick to blame the game. I had this exact same problem with my old Xbox 360 and it turns out it was happening to most other new games I would put in it; not only Halo 4. It also happened to any 2013 sports franchise I played (NBA 2K13, FIFA Soccer '13) and it happened to Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
It was my Xbox. It was not the game. I bought a new Xbox and now everything works fine. Sometimes things will break when the technology is close to 10 years old.
