Dude, the xbl download usually comes way after the game is released if that is what you are talking about. Otherwise I am not sure what you are asking.
Usually games are added to “games on demand” roughly six months after its release. Just install the discs and if the noise really bugs you, leave the room for about ten mins while its doing its thing.

In a lot of cases even longer, if you have the HDD space then just install the game to your drive, it doesn’t read the disc that way (It still requires the disc in the disc to make sure you own the game.)

Not as of recently they have been adding games alot quicker, yes true but it will just check the disc then stop and it will just load from the HDD from there on. It depends on the op if he wants to wait or not. Plus ive downloaded Fable off games on demand and the freaking thing freezes constantly, however the disc doesnt at the same spots.
You can read this article. It basically says you have to wait a couple months for a game on demand release because they focus on boxed retail initially.

Then theres an issue with your Xbox or youre confused with what were talking about and you did something else. When you install a game to your HDD it spins the disc for like a min then it stops cause its not needed beyond that point.
I dont think Microsoft have a schedule “a list” of when they release games on demand i tried looking but no luck. I just know cause i happen to look every so often at new releases, plus Max Payne 3 showed up on there within six months.
