the full Halo 4 armory has been released and it’ll be fun to unlock armor via the combination of halo reach’s armory store and halo 3’s achievement unlocking system for getting armor. but some of us (myself included) aren’t really “feeling” how some of the new armor looks like, i say some because there are some pieces that i know ill be using. That being said i hope eventually 343i will release armor/ customization packs as DLC that could contain new and some old/updated armor. For example say the rouge helmet from halo 3 or the MK 6(B) helmet, (the halo reach default helmet). it would be great to see our old favorites from past halo’s come back updated and revamped for halo 4’s armor design. I know this probably wont happen but it’s a nice thought to have. that being said what do you all think about my idea and what armor would you like to see return. and to add to that what designs from other games would you like to see be created into halo armor, like the hyabusa outfit from the Ninja Gaiden series was made into its
Halo 3 counterpart?
the question for that is how can they do it without having difficulties in the system.
> the question for that is how can they do it without having difficulties in the system.
its not that hard its just like adding a map pack there really wouldn’t be any difficulties
Dlc armor depends if they did the armor like Bungie or not, where every map has the armor coded into it.
That is why Bungie couldn’t add armor without a huge update.
I really hope 343i has made the maps-armor connection differently.
As for old helmets returning I find this really doubtful. I think 343i has started that they put in all the old helmets that they felt necessary, and then made the new helmets because they want the series to move forward.

They have to code it into the other existing maps, But now that we technically Install the maps to our drive it might make it easier. shrugs

You have no idea…
All the helmets are stored in .map files.
If you tried to play lets say, Reflection on Reach, if the GUNGNIR file wasn’t in the .map file, you wouldn’t be able to play that map with GUNGNIR.
All the .map files need to be redownloaded, which would be a pretty huge download.

bungie did it with an update when they added more helmets to reach im not trying to get on the topic of how they would do it. im just outing an idea and id like to hear what people would want if they COULD or DID do it
If the cutscenes were made like reach then they’d have to be coded into them aswell, so I doubt ‘new’ armours will be available. However I’m sure 343i is hiding at least one armour varient from us though… GRD anyone?
On the other hand I don’t want armour that you can just buy off the marketplace, that sounds like 343 just want money (which they don’t, ms does though) nor do I want novelty pieces like Hayabusa. but I guess afew new options wouldn’t go amiss.

The helmets were still on the disc, but they were locked due to rank cap, they were not added to the game
Edit: If I do want one helmet, for the sake of RvB let it be MK.5

MK V all day baby.
The reason they could not add more of the classic armor is because the xbox 360 is out dated and cannot hold that much content. halo 4 is already maxing out the 360’s capabilities as it is.

mk 5 is in it beat legendary and you get it the whole armor set
if they added only one helmet… it would have to be ODST

I would love more armour, I’m disappointed in the small amount available and even more disappointed in the small amount of good looking stuff. I thought the 8gb multiplayer install might have been indicative of the amount unlockable, I guess not.
I would love for them to bring back some H3 and Reach armour, in particular Emile’s helmet and armour. Even if you don’t like Reach, Noble Team were well designed

people are getting way off topic this is a hypothetical question and i just wanted peoples imaginative ideas. thats all not a debate on the proses of dlc to disk coding.
i even said in the main post that i know it probably cant and wont happen thats why im asking for peoples imaginative ideas
can we just stick to the original topic?
