Halo3 Sandbox Guardians Reset after being disabled

Hi,
Years ago when Halo 3 was on Xbox 360, I used to forge a lot, Sandbox being one of my favourite maps due to its sheer size. There used to be a well known glitch where the player could throw down 50+ trip mines, that would disable the watchtower Guardians on Sandbox permanently, which allowed players to use the darkened areas of Sandbox to build in and base gameplay in.

This glitch still works, however, when the map is reloaded, the Guardian towers reset and shoot the player. This is an issue, because gametypes that use this feature are now unplayable due to the towers presence. I’m sure many long time forgers would agree that this is a major issue, as many custom maps I have played on Sandbox take advantage of this feature.

It would be very awesome if this could be restored, or otherwise, have some sort of default Sandbox map variant that has these towers disabled to begin with.

The game is very awesome so far, and you guys have done great work in restoring it. Thanks very much.

theres another glitch that lets you place blocks in front of all the guardians
its annoying because you always hear their noise but it works… I’m here for a similar question because frankly their presence ruins the map. tbh why did they even put them there to begin with?

I’m curious as to if there’s a way to mod the map to disable the towers in a way that anti-cheat won’t flag.
