Two of my friends and I have been attempting to start the Halo 3 campaign however we are unable to get very far without the game hitting a black screen and spitting us all to the main menu with a connection error. We play for about 5 to 15 minutes before we receive this error and we lose all our progress for the mission.
We have attempted to play together about five times, one of those times we were able to complete the first mission. It’s pretty tilting, considering we’ve wasted about an hour or two on this…
All three of us are in East Australia, we have all verified the integrity of our local files via Steam, however no changes.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues and if so, is there a known fix? Anything would be appreciated…
Same problem, Here in the US on fiber internet. We aren’t having internet issues, Been seeing a lot of people having this issue yet I’ve not seen any official response regarding it as an issue which is going to absolutely suck if the issue isn’t even acknowledged.
As an update, after troubleshooting and searching more online we have found the cause of the issue!
Some of us have high refresh rate monitors, and for whatever reason, the game would crash after a certain amount of time when running the game over 60 FPS. Capping the game at 60 FPS allowed us the play missions uninterrupted.
So… 343 please fix it?
