Im using scarub skull to beat halo 2 legendary and every time I shoot my screen freezes
Do you have the Boom! and Sputnik skulls activated also? Having these skulls active as well as the Scarab skull active is a sure fire way to make your game freeze at one point or another. I had the experience when trying to fight the first wave of Brutes on Gravemind. After I went back and disabled the Boom! skull, the game played fine.
Don’t know the technical terms, but shooting the Scarab gun is going to cause the game to have to process more things especially if you spam the gun or have those other mentioned skulls on so that’s going to cause the game to freeze if it’s more than it can handle.
Playing H2A on legendary difficulty freezes the game period, skulls or not. It’s incredibly frustrating as I’ve finally gotten around to getting the skulls but now I can’t.

That has to be on your end problem? OG xbox with game saved on internal harddrive will be the culprit. I play halo 2 legendary all the time and don’t come across freezes (I dont run scarab gun or whatever, maybe that skull can cause freezes). Maybe its a co op thing as well, or does it freeze solo for you? I mainly jusy solo halo 2 leg (I play it alot cause it’s my favorite campaign and it’s just fun to me) but have noticed co op can lag and stutter for whoever isn’t host.

It freezes on Legendary solo with no skulls. Easy, normal, and heroic work just fine. Maybe I should try moving the game data to my external hard drive?

You never know, weird things happen like that. Back in battlefield 4 days I had a map pack that would freeze and crash my game any time i played it, until I moved it to my internal. Then it worked fine, it just didn’t like my external I guess. Let me add the game itself and all other map packs was still installed on external and it all worked fine.
If you still experience issues, idk what to say. There is a bug somewhere
