There is a compatibility problem with Halo2 that is I’m pretty sure only a problem with Windows7. I herd it has something to do with Windows Live. If 343 has all control over Halo2 then pleas fix this problem. I really want to get Halo2 for pc, but I’m not getting it unless I know it will work.

It may be a problem with your computer. I have Halo 2 PC running on Windows 7, and it works fine.
What exactly is your problem? I have Halo 2 runnign perfectly fine on my Windows 7 laptop.

So there is basically a 100% chance that this goes for me to. If you search on google you can easily find as I have already found multiple threads on microsoft support forums that stretch incredibly far down from people all who have this problem.

That’s because it was titled ‘Halo 2 Vista’ it was only ever intended for Vista support.
Halo 2 Vista hasn’t been touched in a long time either, Microsoft are trying to completely forget about it, it was horribly ported by some company I haven’t even heard of.

Hmm, I have a Nvidia card, and it works fine for me, like I said. I guess I should look into this a little more.
Unfortunately, based on the way Microsoft had treated Halo 2 PC in the past, it may be unlikely that any issues end up getting fixed.

I dunno. That campaign played well and the multiplayer is -Yoinking!- addicting.

It had a ton of problems when I played it, constant lag, bad FPS drops.
Plus they offered little to no support at launch, it was a joke.
To OP, don’t expect your problem to get fixed, if it’s new, it certainly won’t support the old when it comes to Microsoft & games.

Also, now theres a whole bunch of aimbotters and the population is low. Halo CE PC is much better, it even has a bunch of custom H2 maps.

This to, my first game online on Vista a few months back I tried using my Xbox Controller online, of course I sucked at it, plus the lag and either someone was using an aimbot or they were amazing, although, shooting me while not looking at me on a PC game is more aimbot.
