Halo Xbox One Trailer In-Engine?

Was the trailer in-engine footage? I think a lot of people including me assumed it was CG… but no where did they say it was CG, not in the trailers description, not anywhere.

Also this trailer was very similar to the Halo 3 launch trailer which impressed people because it was found that the trailer was made in-engine. Frank O’Conner said that the 343 team was doing something truly amazing with the next generation halo, and this trailers graphics were impressive.

If you look at the next gen games, it is very possible that the xbox one is capable of these graphics. Also since 343 is an in-house developer they are naturally better equipped to utilize the xbox one’s capabilities.

So what are your thoughts? Discuss! 343 could you possibly clear this up and give us an answer on this?

The trailer can possibly be re-created through an in-game cinematic but I don’t expect the graphics to be that amazing when I’m actually playing. Graphics will still be great though, don’t get the wrong idea…

If the graphics are that good…

…I will spend my whole day staring at a vista.

It was a rendered video. Don’t expect that kind of graphics. Non of the XOne or PS4 game-play demos were better then a nowadays PC game on full settings.

If a trailer has “in-game” footage, game developers usually highlight this and make it known in the trailer itself.

We are seeing pretty much what happened with Halo 4, with the first trailer being a cinematic and “not” in game footage.

I think axis may have animated it for them it kinda looks like spartan ops cutscenses.

It’s definitely CG, not in engine.

I have never seen cloth physics, sand simulation, or lighting that good outside of CGI. So I’m going to say it’s not in engine.
