Hi i was just wondering if anyone new whether the news on the new halo being more like borderlands or destiny in the way its open world can choose what weapons you take into battle like mass effect…
I think this would be a really cool idea rather than the linear gameplay in missions.
Nope. Just rumours. Like many others here, i advise you to wait until things are 100% confirmed on Waypoint (or announced at panels etc etc) to pass off as fact

I read the following on paste bin and thought it would be cool if true.
Chief goes rogue upon discovering cortana can be revived
The didact is not dead
Game as an open ‘hub and spoke’ structure
You can visit multiple installations and planets
Chief travels between them in a ship
You choose the order of certain objectives
You visit levels multiple times with different mission objectives
Sounded a little bit like Halo X the structure of Mass Effect. Which would be kind’ve cool… right?!

Yeah, these rumours have been going since spetember, probs even before that, so i’m pretty sure most ppl have seen it. From what i read they didn’t seem very believable for a halo game, either.

Man, that’s way worse than the rumor I head about the 'hog being cut, because it wasn’t popular enough.
Halo rumors are almost always false. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a true Halo rumor. True speculation? Yes. But never true rumors.

How is it worse? The fact that it’s a rumor I came up with and started in this thread just for the hell of it?
Or because of the idea of Halo 5 going to PC?

It was intended as irony/sarcasm. Yes, it was also made up, to highlight how ridiculous some of the rumours can get.
It would be “worse” because the hog is one of the most recognisable things in the series, after MC. Removing the hog would be like removing Cortana (-ohwait,nvm)
