I would like to see some of the following improvements in Halo:Xbox One.
For one, I want some decent Marines NPCs that are not hopelessly useless. In Halo 4 they rushed into the fray even when overwhelmed and got themselves killed alot. I hope to see them be able to actually take on the enemies and not get killed by performing ridiculous stunts such as rolling into fire or blowing themselves up.
Another thing would be the vehicle health. Some vehicles die way too easily. The Magnum shouldn’t be able to damage to Scorpion or the Mantis, yet 2 to 3 clips in and the things will show signs of actual damage. Make it so that you would have to shoot certain spots on the vehicle, not just anywhere.
The maps. I would like to see some maps that require strategic thinking. Most of the time people will just charge in and hope that they can kill someone before dying. Invasion in Reach was a step in the right direction, because some tactics had to be used in order to accomplish said goals.
I could easily state more, but that wouldn’t be getting anyone anywhere. What do you guys think.
I agree with making vehicles much more resistant to small arms fire. I mean, in modern day, an M16 Assualt Rifle will do nothing against an M1 Tank other than create small dimple sized dents on the armor; yet in HALO games, a full clip from a DMR or pistol will have have the Scorpion in a smoking state. It’s a bit funnny when you think about it but not very realistic and not at all fun when you are in the driver seat. Perhaps if only SOME areas became susceptible to small weapons like in the treads, we could all have a better experience?
Agreed. The vehicles in H4 were destroyed way to easily. A tank should be just that a tank. Does a tank have areas that are easy to damage sure but if I start shooting at any area of the thing with my pistol it should be able to look at me laugh and then send a salvo up my -Yoink-.
I agree with the idea of things like the treads and engine being susceptible to small arms fire and I also think that if I am a good enough shot with a sniper rifle I should be about to take out the driver in the cockpit. But any of the normally armored areas need to only take damage from the big guns.
I agree with what you said about the AI and making vehicles stronger. It’s 2014! AI shouldn’t be driving off cliffs for no apparent reason. And I think only certain weapons should deal damage to vehicles like the sniper rifle, rocket launcher, spartan laser etc. not magnum, boltshot (the overcharge really damages vehicles, quite annoying), energy weapons should hurt the driver of the vehicle when you shoot a weak spot, not just anywhere, and they shouldn’t hurt the armour of a vehicle, IMO.
