In the next halo the HUD should be different for every helmet. A HUD that fits the helmets design like how in the second episode of Spartan Ops when Hoya was attacked and it showed us a view of what he saw, his HUD seemed to fit his helmet which is the Operator and in the first episode when Thorne had his helmet put on his HUD fit his helmet which is the Recruit.
I think that would just be a bit distracting. Maybe for Customs it’d be cool, though.

Why is that? It would add to the immersion, because you would actually feel like you are wearing that helmet. Given that they can be added without too much trouble, (they have much more space to work with than with halo 4)

Agreed, even though Chief was more his own character than a vessel in Halo 4, I felt more like him because I could see the inside of his helmet, I’d love to see this in multiplayer
I could definitely go for a customizable hud.
plus seeing the edges of my helmet would be hella immersive.
Yeah but what about Helmets like E.O.D? Wouldn’t it feel like looking through a bucket with holes in it? If they can do it without putting people at a disadvantage I’m all for it. But I can see most players using the E.V.A for all that extra vision/FoV.
I like this idea, maybe an option to turn it on though, or an option for which hud you want
As long as you can customize it and it could be optional, then I’m all for it.
well if you could turn them on or off that would be good as well
I think I could do without having a different HUD for each helmet.
I’d rather the UI team spend their time on critical aspects, over something like this.
Even if they did, if H5 had more helmets than H4 did - that’s a -blam-ing lot of work.
Having one for each faction (spartan/elite/maybe-promethean) would be more than enough.
*Hoya’s HUD shown in Spartan Ops doesn’t even match the Operator helmet shape…
Why not just have a multiple HUD options and being able to choose whichever one you want?
I like the idea but imagine looking through a helmet like Wetwork.
However, your idea could work for visorless helmets like GUNGNIR that is using a camera as well, since you would probably have some kind of monitor inside your helmet that is projecting your visual field.
But like stated before as long as it is optional, I see no real problem.
I could see possibly adding custom reticles would be an interesting feature. Beyond that, I would think it would just get it the way.
I absolutely love the idea because it means that the different helmets actually do something other than make you look cool
Maybe have it toggable so it doesnt complicate the HUD for the competitive. But I’d love that form of immersion. When I heard that Chief wuld have that in campaign, I was a little disappointed it didnt cross over for MP.
