Halo XB1 might be at VGX.

> Well on the xbox one countdown on the dashboard a few weeks ago. They showed the Halo 3 trailer evolving into the Halo 5 trailer. And then it said world premier of something at VGX.

sorry bud, your going to have to prove it. can you show us a video?

I still don’t think we’ll see any Halo 5 news until the calendar switches to 2014. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the reveal as a standalone event, with E3 to expand upon at a later date.

The Xbox One reveal has given me the impression that MSFT has learned from Apple - showmanship counts, and using your own event to drum up interest can work if done properly.

Still, I say we won’t see anything substantial for Halo 5 until at least May. But I hope I’m wrong.

I don’t think it means anything to be honest.

It could happen anyway, but I wouldn’t be holding my breath over it.

There will be nothing Halo related at VGX. Unless 343/Microsoft hold their own surprise event, we will Likely have to wait until GDC. Which is not “that” far away. A couple months. Either there and/or at the XBox Spring Showcase, if Microsoft has one this year.
I know people want info now, but if Halo 4’s pre-launch trickle of info is anything to go by, we will be fed scraps until a huge reveal.

That’s the first I’ve ever heard of that. Either way, doesn’t have to be at an event necessarily.

It was. But I think it will be an event for 5 either way. To get attention and traction going for it, it can’t simply be out of nowhere on some commercial.

> Take any and ALL information from sources other than Microsoft and 343i as grains of salt.

Don’t even take it with a grain of salt–all of this is not just speculation, it’s groundless speculation. Saying there might be Halo Xbox One info at VGX because of a placeholder pre-order page is like saying the world is going to end in 2012 because that’s the furthest the Mayan calendar goes.

It would be something if the pre-order page had anything new, but it has the same release date and box art as Amazon has had for months.

Groundless speculation is a beautiful thing. We’ll know for sure this weekend though!

I’m really looking forward to Halo 5 being at the VGX. But if it isn’t I wont be too disappointed because we still have new Titanfall footage, debut gameplay of Quantum Break, some footage of the Division and many new reveals. The previous years was only 2hrs long, this year its 3hrs and less hollywood and more time for games. So if it doesnt show up atleast we still have a bunch of other games to see.

I think it is 50/50 % chance that it will be shown.

Same. I’m looking forward to Titanfall and the others, not really thinking about Halo 5. If it shows up, obviously I’ll be doing cartwheels. If not, I wasn’t expecting anything anyway.

The stuff I really want to hear about the game (announcements of features, gameplay impressions, changes, how they’ve incorporated community feedback etc) is more substantial stuff that is really only going to be revealed once 343 either does some kind of dedicated hands-on media event for the game, or makes a deal with a magazine to do a feature or something like that.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m interested in VGX to see trailers for as-yet unannounced games, but I think that when it comes to games that we already know about, there isn’t much room to do more than just another tease that they hope will build hype.

Its a 50/50 chance on anything you have no information on. “Will X happen?” “Well its can ether happen or not happen so its 50/50”

Using the past to predict the future, I think the chances anything are to be shown is, at most, 40/60. I would say 50/50 if we had been given something to work on, but even then, it’s a huge stab in the dark to say there is a half chance anything will be revealed here.

So I prefer to not have any expectations. That way, if something shows up, I can be surprised. If nothing happens, I have no disappointment.

If anything is going to be shown it will ether be at VGX or 343i day. If nether then don’t expect anything til March.

I don’t think we are going to see anything at VGX, but that won’t stop me from hoping. Same goes for the live stream on Monday.

Well all i can say that it may or not show up since i don’t know , but i think there will be some short info about it since that trailer was only a teaser and not a full trailer.

Halo One is probably the only reason why I’m holding back buying a PS4.
It needs to be the greatest game ever made for me to buy an inferior product sold at an higher price than the competition, so yeah, either at VGX or E3 or whatever place they’re going to announce it better no screw it up or I’ll go Destiny in 1080P if you catch my meaning.

I would really like to see a Halo 5 trailer there. I just hope the show has more games then talking. I hate all the musical performance’s and bad jokes.

Honestly, now that I thunk of it, normally I wouldn’t want one this early, but with the low population, having one that makes people giddy would potentially be better than staying silent.
