Halo X1 needs this option in matchmaking

I would suggest that there be an individual option in Halo Xbox One matchmaking to completely avoid playing anyone associated with the MLG or other pro groups.

It’s been my personal experience that every match has included an MLG gamer turns into a complete lopsided catastrophe whether or not you were on the team benefiting from their skills or subjected to their proficient cruelty.

I think it would be better for balancing so that elite skilled players could play amongst themselves while average gamers could play freely in their own group.

We should also have an individual option to completely avoid playing anyone better than us or having the slightest potential advantage…

An actual working ranking system and a large population should by itself segment the players into groups.

How about making sure solo players play against solo players and teams against teams? I’d like a location filter as well.

How are you going to improve if you don’t play anyone better than you?

We have this, it’s called TruSkill.

Not to mention MLG generally doesn’t use matchmaking and a ton of other misconceptions I could spend all day discussing but won’t.

A ranking system would solve this problem. A WORKING INGAME RANKING SYSTEM.

i don’t believe in this option mainly because how are you ever going to truly improve as a player i would more agree with a social and competitive playlist because it separates the serious players from the casuals not to discriminate but serious players do also find playing against less competitive players annoying because they either can’t perform as well or aren’t pitted against people as good and find it boring to just carry a game

I think this would segregate players which would’t really solve anything due to a probable outcry from the mlg people not being able to find a match to play because no one would want to play with them.

The best way is to just to practice and get better than them.

As a general response to the idea that people improve skills from playing against better competition I do not disagree that everyone can learn from adversity and challenge, but in my opinion most players quickly hit a plateau at some point that is well beneath a “masters” skill level. To put it into a somewhat distasteful yet quantifiable terms the average gamer usually has a kill to death ratio around 1.5k to 1d, but in the case of proficient gamers that affiliate with the MLG and other groups those gamers hold K/D ratios that are in the 3+ region and easily turn many matches into spawn controlled, spawn camped, spawn massacres even if their skill sets otherwise dominate most matches in-spite of using such tactics.

I would like it noted that I do not want to discourage these groups from playing Halo X1 in any capacity and if the option to avoid them is something that slows matchmaking I would rather it works against those who wish to avoid these groups instead of alienating the pro circuit and their Leagues.

Another point is how many times do people quit out when facing insurmountable odds which leads to lopped sided teams and slow boring matches for the victors. I would like to believe that the MLG and other groups do like to seek out more challenging matches than always playing ones were they pick on easy prey all of the time.

Wouldn’t we all wait an extra few seconds or a minute or two so that we all get to play where, how, and whom we prefer if so desired.

you mean like what halo 3 had? social and ranked playlists? that is the solution to your problem… I wonder why it was ever taken out
