Who plans these promotional crossovers? What was the thought process here?

Can we get a crossover that actually appeals to your core audience…gamers?
In the meantime I will lace up my wolverine boots and go out back to build a fence with my OPI painted fingernails. Once I’m done with that I’ll sit down and play some Halo Infinite. 
I don’t know, ‘gamers’ is a pretty broad demographic. Just because you don’t use or enjoy either doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t. That’s very narrow mind of yourself.
As a straight man I’ve never painted my nails before but since OPI partnered with Xbox, here I am sat at my computer with purple toe nails.
It’s a game, remember.
Don’t let the boots scratch that polish off
It’s not the promotions that bother me.
It’s the fact that every free reward is made to look comprehensibly worse then a paid counter part.
Say with the OPI promo you get this sparkly purple that’s clean and looks great. If you play the game normally your only option of purple is a battle worn/dirty option.
You can’t just have the regular color purple without it looking bad because the nice coatings are all paid for.
This also extends as far as campaign,
Every single piece is battle worn/dirty.
At this point though cosmetics are just a drop in the bucket comparatively to the issues the game is currently facing.
Maybe it’s to avoid the junk food and caffeinated drinks stereotypes.
I don’t know, but I wouldn’t mind them if the game was in better shape…
Aside from that, when I saw “x Wolverine”, I was hoping it was an X-Men crossover…

Probably something to try and capitalize on the new TV streaming series.

I need new work boots practically every 6-12 months.

And as far as the nail polish one it was easy for me because I have two daughters and a wife who I bought nail polish for so it was a win-win

i’d rip my toe and finger nails off before I painted them, nail polish gives me the same feeling as scratching drywall or a chalkboard.
I’ve had a pair of slip-on steel toe Wolverines for 4+ years now and I love them, but it can obviously depend on what kind of work you do. But I also just like wearing them casually.

idk, as a chick who’s a welder I literally have uses for promotions like these. I do enjoy painting my fingernails for my days off and I sincerely appreciate sturdy, well fitted work boots.
I’m not exactly expecting this promotion to be of much use to me, since they’re more likely collector’s items than anything, but! Now I know of another brand that may suit my very specific labor needs.
So, you know. I might be an outlier. But this definitely benefits me since I am now fully aware Wolverine is a brand that exists.
(Though sadly their women’s sizes don’t go too high.)
Del driver. A lot of walking. Near constant abrasion against diamond plate, concrete and asphalt. I go thru boots fairly quickly. I prefer real leather and manufactured in the US. But my rate of destruction has me hesitant to spend a ton of money.
A co-worker friend of mine swears by Wolverines for the job, which I only just remembered. And from what I can tell they check all the boxes. Just gotta see what the price point is.
Good to know that when I’m buying boots anyway I can support a reputable company affiliated with my favorite game franchise. Sounds like a triple win.
EDIT: They’re a little bit more than I’d normally spend, but cheaper than redwings. I might have found where my next pair are coming from.

The fact that some people go out of their way to buy things they dont need for halo armor coatings or skins is cringe. Maybe im just a jerk for thinking that idk.
